Who are players who you feel are overrated in the hobby and who are player who are underrated?

Underrated William Contreras. Top 5 offensive catcher and top 15 defensive catcher but outside Brewers fans seems to get little attention

I am loath to say any player is truly underrated, I feel like the free market makes them all appropriately rated, but I guess if you put a gun to my head and forced me to say two names I would say J-Ram and Harper… BUT… take a look at their high end RCs. They don’t give them away for free!
Any true underrated players are ones who haven’t even broken out yet. |

Numerous guys in the league are undervalued, as it relates to their career accolades/marketability vs. their hobby market value
But everyone knows there's not a lot of rationality when it comes to the card market There's significantly more thought and discussion involved in determining overvalued players

As said above it is hard to separate the idea of baseball performance to hobby appeal and collectability. The ratio of card prices to performance is often hard to predict and can change very quickly.
Collect what you like...if you like collecting under rated players based on card prices...terrific. Unfortunately it does not mean those cards will go up in value, even if that player performs well.
