Which of these guys end their career with most home runs?
Currently at the end of 2024: Mike Trout (age 33) - 378 HR Aaron Judge (age 32) - 315 HR Shohei Ohtani (age 30) - 225 HR |

Going to go Judge based on: 1. His hit skill is getting better 2. If Ohtani truly wants to pitch then it takes some upside out of the bat 3. I can’t trust Trout to play a significant (120+) amount of games/season going forward. |

I feel like it has to be Trout, even with his injuries he has a decent lead. I trust Judge to stay healthy about as much as I do Trout. He's too big and lumbering. If Ohtani starts pitching again his chance at injuries goes up. I think Trout has this in the bag.

I agree, Trout has the lead, and Judge’s body will break down at some point and limit his ability to play everyday even as a DH, Judge will get to 500, but so will Trout and he’ll edge Judge out. Ohtani has to stay healthy for 8-9 years but he’ll probably just barely pass 500 even with the best health outlook for him.
My predictions Trout @ 550 HR, Judge @ 525 HR, Ohtani @ 500 HR |

Ohtani has a lot of catching up to do but obviously has the ability, Trout (while having a large lead) is playing waaay too many partial seasons. I’ll take Judge.

Juan Soto.
But out of these 3 I'm gonna go Shohei just cause he's ridiculous and has time on his side

Judge. Trout likely won’t even get to 500. When you have 4-5 injury riddled seasons in a row your body doesn’t magically get better. At his current rate he would need another 6-7 seasons.

I'm predicting Trout barely makes it past 500. I think Judge will have a couple more monster seasons, but I think that Ohtani at age 35 to 38/39 will be healthier than Judge will be at those ages. I also think that Ohtani will be finished pitching by age 37 or 38, but will continue playing as a purely DH until he's 40 or 41.
So as of right now, these are my predictions: Trout will end up with 500 to 505 HR. Judge will end up with 610 to 620 HR. Ohtani will end up with 620 to 630 HR. Last edited by kooky4cards; 12-26-2024 at 02:04 AM. |

3 more years and Stanton will be gone if he doesn't retire before then and Judge will be the full time DH and his injury risks go way down.

Better question...
Will Mike Trout play more than 378 games in the next 6 years? |

Judge. If you told me Trout didn’t get to 425 HRs, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Aaron Judge, he has an entire DH career ahead of him.
