There is no way I could draw as good as this artist does, so I commend him for the quality.

Having said that, it's too bad the quality of this art isn't as good as the baseball cards. Card #3 looks like it was rushed.

Someone else will have to answer that. I haven't tried to sell any.

I agree---art work is fantastic.

It would be nice to get a variety of shots/poses.

All of them are from the neck up and looking to the right.

Let’s see how this does.
Looking forward to it, but it definitely won’t be a popular as baseball living set.

The artist has a youtube channel. Go leave a comment and ask for different aspects. Maybe some action ones but maybe that isn't his forte.

Joe Joe linked to it at least in the FB group:

He really needs to add the Team Crest on the Jersey.

Over under on Messi at 750. Thoughts?
Mostly everything else will struggle to reach 150 from the outset?

Going forward, I'll probably get 3 of the true legends like Messi, 2 of all Americans (which isn't much to choose from but hope Pulisic with Dortmund comes soon) and 1 for the rest to have 1 complete set.

For baseball I get 3 minimum and extras for different circumstances.

What I REALLY crave, which would probably double/triple the UCL #'s, is a FIFA World Cup Living Set.

I think Messi will be close to 2000. I would expect Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe to be the high numbers in that range.

Team Crest is too low in the painting to be included on the card (might be different story if prints are made available...hint, hint Topps).

I am selling these just FYI.

Soccer Now sales are OK. Not great, not bad.

I also agree on the McKennie card. Not good. Hope the rest of the cards are better going forward.

Condition will be an issue like MLB living. This is not a good card stock and I was surprised they make this set at all because they know damn well it will have a lot of damage issues.

I'm thinking closer to 2000+ as well on the Messi. I have no idea on the others.

Odd to have Lukaku as one of the first since he is so rumored to be gone from Manchester United.

Same as the baseball Living Set; they can make another card for him in the set if he joins a new team.

I think speculation will be high on at the least the first few weeks of these cards. We might see print runs of 2000 - 3000 as everyone is looking for the next big thing for a quick flip. Numbers will probably drop off to 200ish afterwards and remain level except when a big name comes out.

I wonder if legends will be included in this set? For example I am a diehard Thierry Henry fan, I wonder if it will be beyond current players just like the baseball model. I hope they throw in legends as well.

I think one good thing will be the lack of a "rookie" prospect. I expect the very best in this set including those in the past.

Bingo....I'm much more interested in Legends than in most active players, because active players hop clubs so frequently.

Would love to see cards of stars from the 70's/80's/90's...Cruyff with Ajax, Beckenbauer with Bayern, Rush & Dalglish with Liverpool, etc.

Panini have had the license with FIFA for the World Cup since 1970 so something pretty drastic would have to happen for Topps to ever be able to issue a FIFA World Cup Living set.

Yeah, Panini have a death grip on the rights....but FIFA can easily be bought if you open the bank vault.

Jeeves needs to get to work in his new position....securing rights, if available, to the 2026 tournament...that would be an epic coup for Topps.

You can never say never but having seen Topps already lose the NFL, NBA and (from next season) Premier League licenses to Panini it really would be hard to imagine this ever happening. Also the Topps World Cup Sticker Album really does not sound right.

Not quite true.

Upper Deck did World Cup cards for USA 1994...

Not going to be an issue with these....nobody is going to be submitting these to try to get PSA 10's and flip them for a profit.

Soccer collectors, especially of mid-level products like these, are not too obsessed with card condition.
