Other than both being WB, I’m struggling to see the overlap between the two properties. Matrix is DOA at $16 a pack.

almost every account i've been on tonight doing some Halo trading has had 1-3 packs worth of Matrix cards in their inventory

Not saying they're related. And I agree it's a terrible release. But having DC on epack will boost activity in general.

There are roughly 5700 Matrix cards in the trading marketplace right now. So 1425 of the 1999 packs have sold 12 hrs into the first week. Not the most robust opening day for the Matrix and it doesn’t bode well for the remaining 9 weeks.

Goonies sold out by now in week 1 and that set didn’t sell out in later weeks. I feel like if anything, DC releasing tomorrow would cannibalize Matrix sales the rest of this week, not help.

I was commenting directly to your post where you seemed to indicate Matrix was being widely collected. Which seems to contradict reality. Compared to Goonies week 1, it still hasn’t sold out when Goonies did. And we all know Goonies went on to not sell out in future weeks. So not a strong start by any indication other than the people you traded with last night all seemed to have 2-3 packs worth.

what's really weird is when I hit the 'trade for' button,

Weird. I’m not sure why the checklist would be wrong because any late adjustment in character list would have been made prior to this set hitting hobby months ago. Maybe an intern accidentally uploaded an older version of the checklist.

Yeah… that is a cool one. I feel like it’s best to wait until Pack Wars hits to make color wheel sets unless there is some type of limited achievement tied to them this time.

Not the biggest DC fan, but I wanted to open a few packs. I actually like the insert designs a lot.
