That's interesting. I wonder why the printing plate is the mirror image? I've never seen one like that? Has anyone else?

I've only seen printing plates with the mirror image. Think about it

Cards matching: printing plate - CheckOutMyCards.com

I did think about it. I'm a graphic designer, I know what a printing plate is. I've always wondered why they were not reversed. This is the first one I've seen that is.

EDIT: It looks like some are reversed on that link. Which is even more confusing.

LOL ... sorry, didn't intend to insult you. It doesn't make sense to me why a printing plate would ever NOT be reversed.

None taken, no worries. I agree, it's weird why some are and some aren't. I've never pulled or purchased one so I can't say I've examined one first hand. The only thing I can think of is that the printing plate can vary depending on what type of machine the cards are printed with.

btw - to the OP, Nice pull, I don't want to derail the thread.

I believe the type of plate is determined by the finish of the card. Somewhere I read that base cards were one way, and chrome type cards are the other way. It is because they are made different ways.
