Default BEWARE-Alex a.k.a. Belenhoya and here's why...

Blowout Cards Forums - View Profile: BelenHoya
*This member has the same ebay user id and is on a few other forums i believe.

April 2012-I sold Alex (Belenhoya) an expensive 1/1 card. It took him a few months to complete payment (which i was 100% aware would happen and was fine with) but he eventually paid in full. ***As part of our agreement/deal, after full payment and my sending him the card (which of course i did), Alex was supposed to send me a high end 1/1 tag card from a particular agreed upon player/product. Understanding he was busy with school and was away from home, i accepted him saying that he would be going home this (PAST) summer and guaranteed me that he'd then send me the card. We exchanged a few emails and text messages and he kept telling me he would take care of it, that he was a man of his word and he was grateful that i sold him this incredible card (typical song & dance )...
After a few months went by, his # was no longer in service and he stopped responding to emails. (SHOCKER) lol Since the summer and to this day, Alex has continued to purchase cards, expensive cards and has NOT ONCE gotten in contact with me. Because Alex currently has and spends a lot of money on and off ebay, doesn't make him any better or worse than anyone else. However, NOT being a man of his word and NOT completing an agreed upon deal makes him a LIAR and a PUNK.
I have sent emails telling him that i don't even care about the card, but would like him to respond and admit his wrong doing and that would be enough for me. Also, I told him that if he didn't reply within 6 months, i would reluctantly call him out (*not the first time he has been called out on this site). I know for a fact that he has bought and is presently buying cards on ebay (under the name BelenHoya, which shows up as private), including from members on here. ***Regardless, I'm just telling everyone to be careful in dealing with him, because I don't want what happened to me to happen to any of you.

I hate people who besmirch the mighty, amazing, and absolutely flawless name that is Alex.

You know what, that is a pretty darn good question, idea and suggestion.

I wasn't aware he was on this site but any time I've dealt with him it has been a long wait for payment. For someone who spends so much on cards, you'd think he'd budget a little better and be able to pay promptly for things he buys...

Agreed. Btw, his being able to pay, especially for expensive items doesn't put him in the clear...Not being honorable on an agreed upon trade is such a low down dirty move...

It happens... It sucks, but it happens. I just don't want it to happen to anyone else...

Its not a good idea. Do not neg him. I mean most people dont neg anyone so dont go negging others please. Give the guy some time to make it right and solve it. If he makes it right, everything will be good!!

I'd rather not neg him or anyone. In fact, i really didn't want to start a thread about it or him. I told him that through email/s..It's been almost an entire year. When do you think he was intending on making it right or responding for that matter? The truth is-he doesn't intend on making it right, if so, he would have done it by now or replied back to me...Plus, I'd say one year is a long enough amount of time to contact someone who has reached out multiple times, don't you think?

He is a good guy, if you are willing to wait. I never had any issues with him. Both buying and selling. He does take forever to pay, and he's not the greatest with communication. But he is willing to pay top dollar for any card he wants.

Sorry you are having issues with him though. But I trust he would make good on his word.

He is willing to pay top dollar for any card he wants and that makes it ok?

i think anyone in my position would be upset and it would be justified. When you make yourself out to be this great guy who won't ever deceive anyone and then you go MIA, it just isn't right...I hope he sees or hears about this and at least sends me a text or email. All i want is an explanation and an apology and the card that he promised me would be nice as well...

Thanks. I would have agreed with you about him if this didn't go down. The money part of our transaction was perfect and he made it clear that he was an extremely busy guy, (which i respected) but would stay true to his word and send the card when he returned home. He appeared to be a good guy and perhaps he truly is. However, a year with not even a reply or explanation? If he got sick, or was in an accident, (god forbid) I could understand, but c'mon...All he had to do was tell me what was up, but when i hear about him buying cards on the regular and replying to others emails, it's frustrating. I don't think what i asked was unreasonable. This thread was more about my way to catch his attention and hope he replies via pm and/or email/text...I said my piece, the rest is up to him. Life goes on.

I have a done several high end deals with him on ebay... he does usually take a little longer to pay but I haven't had any issue with him. However, if the OPs story is true he needs to step up to the plate otherwise this story and a neg sounds worthy, no?

I've dealt with Belenhoya on eBay several times, and he usually take a little too long to pay, but he's always come through in the end. One time he didn't answer any emails for like 3 weeks, but he came back and paid eventually.
