I really liked him in 'Funny Bones', all us punk kids played an MDA benefit show and wanted to go on TV to give him the money but they said no, still worth it.

My first reaction to this thread was 'Jerry Lee Lewis?', he's gotta be 90 by now and lived a heck of a crazy life.

An amazing career and will never forget everything he did for MDA. A funny man for a long time. God Bless Jerry Lewis.

I watched every Labor Day telethon(some for what seemed like beginning to end and others sporadically during the event) from as far back as I can remember. When it changed a few years ago, I knew that it would never be the same. Sadly, ALL good things come to an end. He did a lot of good for a lot of people.

Yep.

Grew up watching it every year. Even when I got older and it wasn't as good... I still watched. I looked forward to watching it when it first came on Sunday and turning on the TV when I woke up the next morning to continue watching it. But a few years ago when they cut it from 26 hours to what... 3? I knew it was doomed.

Wow, I feel old.

He had a nice role in The King of Comedy with DeNiro back in the eighties.

This is a very underrated role for him, and underrated movie in general. A favorite for me.
