Default Set buying - binder vs box ?

If you buying a base set, do you prefer it in a 3 ring display binder or just (stuffed) in a cardboard box?

I prefer the box, but with closed space and penny sleeves. Its also easier to properly protect the box during shipping. I have had too many cards stuck in the binder pages, causing damage. Also these pages bend when turning them, this wear can't be good.

Definitely easier to ship safely and protected in a box (within a box). I love looking at cards/sets in binder pages, but transportation of them that way is difficult to protect without going big - and thus getting relatively expensive on shipping costs.

Makes sense for shipping. I was just curious. I have a couple 80's fleer sets i was going to list. One is in a binder, one in a box. I like the binder because then people can actually see what they're getting and its relatively easy to scan all of the cards. I suppose i could display in a binder then ship in a box but that's a bit of work haha. appreciate the replies.

Absolutely what I would do, seeing as how they're already "pretty" in binder sheets for the selling pictures.

This is how I sold my 1986 Fleer sets. It is way easier to scan that way and shipping is much safer out of the pages. It didn't take too long to get the cards out of pages and penny sleeved. I would put commons in penny sleeves then in team bags and protect them by sandwiching them between toploaders. Stars I would put in individual top loaders. Good luck with your sale.
