Default New Upper Deck Slogan for 2018: "Error Has occurred"

The redemption site has been down forever it seems.

There isn't much more in life to rise one's spirits than to pull an Official Upper Deck IOU only to not be able to redeem it.

Company is dying, but not before leaving behind an "upper decker" for collectors.

When UD finally kicks the can.... do you think Topps will buy some of their trademarks and use them in BB? Though at this point I dont think much of their past history carries much weight anymore. Will Topps try and take over the hockey business?

It's a shame that UD couldn't do things right and lose their licenses. I miss all those designs from the 90's. I remember I wanted to intern there as a graphic designer when I was in college. I'm glad that never came to fruition.

Looking for rare late 90's Cleveland Indians cards- if price is right.

Also possibly interested in current Indians (Not crazy about current card designs though)

I'd love Topps to buy O-Pee-Chee if UD dies. Feels very wrong UD owning that brand.

How about Topps to buy the entire Upper Deck brand and make a Topper Deck or a Toppest Deck?

Topps owned OPC at one point. But I don't think Topps will ever go back to hockey or football. It will be a miracle if they hang onto baseball when the next licensing agreement happens.

O Pee Chee was it's own company, they worked with Topps.

The site is down because they lost redemption data. Either customer info or recently redeemed codes. That's the reason users can't access the site. They've pulled the database and are most likely trying to rebuild it by culling through emails & backend data to restore lost info.

No way the site is down for 3 weeks because of "updates". The data was corrupted & lost. Or someone hacked their site. This won't end well for Upper Deck.

What makes you say this? Their exclusive has already been renewed once. Don't get me wrong, I hate them having exclusivity and was very disappointed when it was extended to 2020, so I hope you're right.

The longer it's down, the more this seems to be all or partially true.

I’m gonna be surprised if Topps doesn’t continue. MLB loves Topps like Boo loves tasty cakes.

You probably hit it on the head. Probably hoping the next epack release gets them enough money to pay someone to fix the issue.

I've now heard from multiple card store owners that Topps is making a serious play for the NHL license when it comes up again.

Do you know when UDs license is up? I wouldnt mind Topps doing hockey, gives me something to bust during the baseball offseason.

They will be able to get it cheap with the problems UD has had. If Topps takes that, UD would be smart to get out of cards and just rebrand as Jordan Memorabilia Company
