Default Is anyone still doubting the Dodgers are going to win the World Series?

Sure, they had an underwhelming regular season by their standards -- winning only 93 games, which was their lowest total in a 162-game season since 2018. But they are still a stacked team and have gotten healthy at the right time. They just crushed the Reds in the Wild Card round, outscoring them 18 to 9 in two games.

And unlike last postseason, they have a stacked rotation:
1. Blake Snell -- 177 ERA+
2. Yoshinobu Yamamoto -- 167 ERA+
3. Shohei Ohtani -- 145 ERA+
4. Tyler Glasnow -- 130 ERA+

They also brought back the same stacked lineup from last season, even if some of those hitters didn't have the same numbers they typically have -- namely, Mookie Betts (104 OPS+) and Teoscar Hernández (103 OPS+). They have championship pedigree now -- they know how to successfully navigate the postseason and win a championship.

Already, Betts has gone 6 for 9 with 1 walk in the postseason! And Hernández already has 2 home runs!

This team was made for the postseason. They laid low during the regular season, winning just enough games to win the division. They even got swept by the lowly Pirates in a 3-game series early in September. But they knew the only thing that mattered was the playoffs.

Sure, they are quite vulnerable in the bullpen, having the 10th-highest bullpen ERA in MLB during the regular season. But they've got guys like Roki Sasaki throwing 100 mph heaters to shore things up.

Face it -- the Dodgers are taking this year's championship.

Cleveland might have invested enough points in the luck stat to overcome.

I read the title of the thread and voted based on that instead of you changing the actual poll question to something else.

I thought a week or two ago everyone was questioning their starting pitching and the bullpen was imploding?

I mean, it's the Reds. Let's not celebrate this early.

Didn’t Philly just get done putting a hurting on them? I’d rather have the Dodgers win, but what has changed since then

The Dodgers are healthy. Philly vs LA feels like NLCS. No offense to MIL, SD, and CHI, but I can't see either of those three teams winning the NL.

To be fair a 585M payroll should beat a 141M payroll pretty soundly and they did.

The Dodgers lost 2 of 3 to them in mid September. They lost game 1 in 10 innings and still outscored the Phillies in the series 16-15.

They have won 11 of their last 13 games (including the two playoff games against the Red).

I did the same - I marked yes but I don't think they'll win. I think the bullpen will get exploited in a longer series.

Your poll question and topic question don't match up.

My answer is yes, I have doubts about the Dodgers winning the World Series. Their bullpen is wildly and comically inconsistent. Plus, I still don't trust Dave Roberts' judgement, as he tends to make some dumb decisions.

I am a Padre fan, and as much as I want them to win the whole thing.

I cannot ignore the starting and batting lineup and backups the Dodgers franchise puts out on the field. It is amazing. 3 MVPS still at their Peak (mookie a little less)

Granted the bullpen sucks right now. But the Playoff level this team plays at is impressive.

If even 1 of those 3 closers was hot, their would be almost no doubt who is favored.

Like staring at bright diamond hard to ignore.

But go Padres!!!

I don't know what he was doing with that broccoli hair blond dude after Yamamoto.

Thankfully he yanked him mid at bat

They gave up 9 runs to the Reds??!!? Imagine how many the Phillies are going to score on them.

I'd say there's plenty of doubt out there about the Dodgers winning the World Series. Most of that doubt is probably only about whether the Dodgers can beat the Phillies.

Series odds (via FanDuel): Dodgers -112 | Phillies -104

Game 1 odds: Odds: Phillies -126, Dodgers +108

WS odds: Dodgers (+420 on FanDuel) and Phillies (+500)

As long as it's not the Brewers, I don't care who wins (admittedly would love to see Cubs or Red Sox do it but don't see either of them winning it all).

Very much a 2000-2001 Lakers feel. They "only" won 56 games in regular season, then went 15-1 in the playoffs. I agree the Phillies are likely the only team that can beat them.

Glad to finally see the truth. That OP truly is a big market snob and his analytics only matter when they fit his opinion

And for the rcord im not saying Dodgers are bad or that they shouodnt win the series.
