Grading Results and upcharge

I submitted 3 cards for 15 day
2018 Topps Series 2 Ronald Acuna Bat Down PSA 9
2018 Topps Update Ronald Acuna Red and Blue Variation PSA 10

and the one they upcharged me for
2008 eTopps auto PSA 10 Clayton Kershaw Is this really an upcharge worthy card?

nice grades, congrats! And I am a little surprised they upcharged the Kershaw auto. But I see only 3 of them listed on ebay for $2k-5k, so maybe that's what PSA saw? I didn't see any sold items unfortunately so no idea what they are really worth.

Tough to say on the Kershaw. Two raw copies have sold at eBay auction in the past two years for right around $300. The last BGS 9.5/10 sold for $500 a couple years ago.

curiously; what did they upcharge, if you don't mind sharing; bulk to regular or something else?

It went from $15 to $75 which seems excessive. Appraising the card at the stupid money someone asks for the card on ebay is crazy to me.

I also just got back 4 grades from a bulk and none of them were upcharged

They were :
2011 Bowman Chrome Draft Auto Francisco Lindor
2018 Bowman Sterling Continuity Orange Auto Gleyber Torres
2018 Topps Update US 200 Fielding in Grey Variation Gleyber Torres
2019 Mega Box Wander Franco

so overall happy with everything but obviously a little salty about a $60 upcharge.

I'd be happy if they upcharged me if I get a PSA 10. Some of the graders maybe Dodgers fans. I was surprised I didn't get upcharge on my PSA 10 Yordan since the last one sold was a lot higher before I sent it in.
