Default Is COMC starting to lose it's touch?

I have been a long time COMC member and seller, and have truthfully loved it over the years as a buyer and seller. But I feel like little things have gotten worse over time such as shipping and packing time.

But yesterday, I had a large batch of cards that were due to be processed and listed. Not a single card has been processed, even today, a day later nothing.

This is the first time in probably 75 batches of cards that I have sent in that they missed the deadline.

I send an email, without response. A tweet without response. So I called, and the gentlemen was very nice, and stated he would work on getting them processed right away. But he also mentioned that they had a great deal of cards to process currently.

Is Comc going to go the way of PSA and BGS? Caring very little about turnaround times? Or responses for that matter? Has anyone else had issues?

In my opinion, it comes down to greed. When your production/services increase, then you hire more people to keep that standard up. It's that or they let some people go or got fired, either way, less people means more profit and then the customers suffer when there aren't enough employees to do the job.

There are many having issues.

TLDR, having eBay auctions running every night has stretched them too thin to get the main idea of their business operating correctly. So now everything is backed up.

At least you'll get half your processing fees off. Most people would prefer they be a week late and half price then completed on timeline...
And this is being discussed ad nauseum already down in the COMC forum...

Shipping prices increased and they have shipped things slower and slower. Ive started to look elsewhere when i am looking for particular cards.

My order from last Friday arrived yesterday (Thursday), I paid the extra quarter to ship at an expedited rate - which was still expensive. Six days delivery is actually fast for them, it usually takes 10-12 days.

Things are slower (processing and shipping), and some pricing is going up.

That said, it's still by FAR the best way for me to move raw cards, in particular anything south of $20

I like that they added auctions on ebay to what they do.

Economy rushed or whatever that's called exactly always ships next day and arrived in 3 days via First Class mail. I'd rather pay a little extra instead of waiting a month.

Yup they are terrible now.
i am 100% done with them as a seller just trying to sell my remaining 300ish cards on there for pennies and still no one buys them.
as a buyer i am 95% done with them as well.

As a seller there fees are just stupid high! like its ridiculous.
thought it would be a great place to sell cards that sell for 50 cents to $2.
but nope! i wind up losing money 80% of the time.

example.

i look up a card on comc see there are like 4 of them with the cheapest being $1 and most expensive being $3.
i say ok ill send it in.
now i have to pay for shipping, then they charge 30 cents to list the card.
then whatever you sell it for they take another 25 cents for shipping when most of the cards on their site barely ship and just move around from one flipper to another.
then they charge you 1% of sale price and 5% of sale price if you run a sale.
then you have a 10% paypal cashout fee which is ridiculous!
then when you start an account fresh you have to pay tax on the money you deposit in to your account.
i know some of those things like the tax are not in their control but the rest of their fees are insane.
then to top it all off it takes them months to lost stuff so by the time they list that card you sent in that the cheapest one was $1 there are now 20 of them up for sale and the cheapest one is like 50 cents so i am losing money just by selling it!

so lets some that up.

you send them 100 cards that you will sell for $1 each.
they charge you 30 cents to sell them each, thats 30%
if you sell it for $1 you are pricing it at 75 cents so the other 25 cents covers their bs shipping charge, thats 25%.
you sell the card and they take another 1% of the sale price, 5% if you run a sale.
then when you wanna cash out they charge you another 10%.
and if you are new to the site you have to buy store credit with paypal then you have to pay another average 8% in taxes just to get money in to your account to initially list your cards.

That all is inclusive that now you sell that card for $1 which you wont cause everyone undercuts everyone and like i said by the time they list your cards which could take months there are dozens of them up there and everyone is just trying to get rid of them.

so you have a total of on a $1 card.
30% to list it
25% shipping fee cause if you sell it for $1 they take 25 cents for s/h bs.
10% cash out fee
1% sale price fee

thats 66% right there alone!! tack on another 8% tax if you dont have money in your account and 5% more if you want to run a sale now the $1 you sold the card for turns in to a net 21 cents for you after fees and tax at the most extreme circumstance and 34 cents at the best circumstance.

but like i said everyone undercuts trying to sell and so many people have so many cards listed on there at a loss even if they sell the only person making out is comc with their ridiculous fees.

90% of the time when i sell a card it is to another person that instantly buys it cause i have it marked for so cheap to get rid of it after months of it sitting there already the lowest then they instantly put it up for sale for like 20 cents more to try to flip it.
all along while comc gets their bs 25 cent shipping fee each time it changes hands without ever shipping...

sorry for the long rant but i used to love the site as a seller and a buyer now i cant wait to be done with it.

ALSO, the last time i had cards i bought from them i saved up and had 162 cards shipped to me. THEY SENT THEM TO THE WRONG PERSON. and didnt even tell me.
the person that got them was kind enough to email me from my email in the packing slip and tell me he had them and would ship them to me. this was over $500 worth of cards.

For what it's worth, every time someone buys the card, the initial 25 cents paid gets refunded to the last buyer. So no, COMC isn't making a quarter every time it sells.

Just submitted some cards at 2 different service levels, first batch current year service level done on time in 7 days, the other Select level (2 week) is 75% done already & ahead of time, due 2/21/20 ...seems to be hit and miss

As a buyer, I can't stand how long it takes to ship and now and I can't see wasting money for faster shipping. It's still the cheapest and best way to pick up a lot of PC cards at once though since e-bay is just way too expensive having to pay individual shipping on each card you buy.

It makes sense, but it also defeats part of the great things about COMC, that you avoid crazy high ebay shipping fees. If i have to pay $10 to ship em, then I could have just gone to ebay.

Emailing or texting or messaging is a great way to not get an answer. However, every time I have picked up Alexander Graham Bell's invention up and called them, they have answered. Every. Single. Time.

Believe it or not, actual human interaction is a good thing. Even in 2020.

While COMC has somethings to work on overall. I have yet to have issues as a buyer or seller with them. If an issue happens or I have a question I call them and it's answered.

There's a guy here in my area that built a 6500 square foot building to start a business like comc. Already has most of the scanning equipment and the website is built (not live).
