Good afternoon. Lots of things have changed in my family this year and health is teetering with my parents and myself. Stability is the only option week to week. This hobby of acquiring sports trading cards has been my life outlet since I was in elementary and never stopped ever while any of my peers get to move on to real life pursuits. Obviously this pastime has changed even more in just the last 4 years. Prices/supply/availability down to the singles you chase makes this endeavor of building any kind of collection devoted to a single player incredibly tedious without the other factors already in play. Inevitably, I've abandoned multiple player collections due to my personal consolidation or the player's change in performance changes my fandom.

Ending this summary, with Kopitar's career in the last leg, I did decide I wished to start another hockey player PC. How I picked Anze is something that is a natural mystery to me but it's been fun. We all have (should) our sweet spots in this myriad of reasons to buy (amass) sports cards to form a collection whether it be team or player. How long I will be able health wise to pursue this new PC is for the cosmic beyond, but take it from someone who wishes to see each new tomorrow while I can get up and breath and enjoy sports highlights and feel the cards in my collection, it's all worth it to continue the good fight as I approach my 40th b-day in January.


Anyways, with their 1st regular season game tomorrow night, here is my newest and hopefully final (for my sake) and last player PC of Mason McTavish:





37 cards to start coincidentally, but will remain stopped here to just watch the season progress. Some were pulled and some bought.

Could have secured more, but the cards find me 1 way or the other imho. Sometimes hesitation staring at a card on ebay means I'm meant to pass. My chase is far different from the early Kopi days where I was acquiring as much as possible to build a sturdy foundation. Now, slow rolling and selectivity are higher priority to think harder about sets/designs etc. and of course the budgetary constraints of the present.

Awesome collection! That shield 1/1 is a beaut, as are many of the patches. I think he'll be a great player. Great collection and all the best

Great start to this new player PC. Those two 1/1's recently are big cornerstones. Glad you were able to secure them, especially that Exquisite Collection Auto Shield 1/1.
