Hey peeps, need some opinions from those more experienced.
How many complete base sets (no inserts) / master sets (with inserts) should SAFLEY be expected to be completed from opening a case of Hobby? Rough ballpark idea? I used to actually do this years back, but it was so long ago I can't remember. Thanks for any input! |

Base sets, Id safely say 5 since collation has been so bad lately.
Master sets there are NO way to know until you know how many cards are in each insert set and what the insert ratio is of those cards. There are some insert sets you can't even complete in one case, others you may make 10 of. Sorry, but no way to answer that until packs odds are released. |

I opened a case of 2020 Jumbo and a master set is not likely to be complete. Possible, but not likely. But you should pull a bunch of base sets.

As someone who opens about 5-10 cases a year of each series, in a normal year you will make 10-11 complete sets per hobby case. More like 7-8 in a jumbo case.
At this point you will not get close to a master set. Probably will need to buy minimum of 3 cases to even get close. You’ll likely need to buy a bunch of singles to complete. Since 2020 series 2, Topps is not good about collation. You don’t know how many of each card you will get. Probably safely get 5 sets in a hobby and 3-4 out of jumbo. |
