You can't "claim" something in a PM. You can PM the seller about it and tell him you want it, but that's a private communication with which the seller can do anything they want (give it to you or choose not to).

Not to worry. It just helps keeps everything cleanest when you post in thread for full transparency for everyone (you, the seller, the community) and makes it simple. A lot of guys will also do both (post in thread and then immediately PM seller). Not a bad way to go there either.

Agreed, Chris. In situations like this where the seller advertises everything and it's probably time sensitive when there are multiple potential buyers, posting in thread is best/fairest to everyone.
