I know there's nothing set in stone on price multiplier for different color auto's but what are the common thoughts? I.E. a raw gold version of player A sold for $145 based of this what potential value would a purple BGS 9.5/10 or a red 9.5/10 equate to?
Any help, greatly appreciated. Matt

Heh. You're too much!
I think the general one most people follow is ... Base Refactor 1.5(Base) Blue 3(Base) Gold 2(Blue) Orange 1.5(Gold) Purple 1.5(Orange) Red 2(Purple) Superfractor - Whatever the hell the crazies will pay.

To answer your second question, a raw Gold worth $145 likely makes a raw Orange worth $225, which makes a raw Purple worth $350. Gem that Purple, and you're around $500.

Take me to a simpler time where Purple was the color people didn't value.

Base, 1x
Refractor /499, 1.5x Purple /250, 1.75x Blue Wave /150, 2x Blue /150, 3.5x Green /99, 3x Gold Wave /50, 5x Gold /50, 8x Orange Wave, 25, 8x Orange /25, 12x Red Wave /5, 20x Red /5, 35x Super /1, 100x Anything Orange and under will have insane variance. So much so that I don't include them in my Price Index. From Gold /50 on up it's fairly stable. I would treat these numbers as the mean they are regressing toward. Comps are stupid and sometimes a Blue /150 will sell for $200 and an Orange /25 will sell for $350. Then every orange that comes out after that for the next three months will be comped at $350. In that case, just buy the orange.

Probably 12x, although with something that rare it can get crazy. The typical rule for non traditional is it goes for the next traditional above. The issue is the demand is not great on that type of stuff. You're looking for The Whale. I'd probably buy at 6x and sell at 15x.

I do think once you have the price of a gold you can back it out. One good way to check this would be 2021 Draft. Get a base auto price for a few non SP'd guys, then see what their non-auto color went for. Narrow it down to gold and blue if possible, then stretch it out from there if there's not enough volume.
