I do like the casino chip as I put the set together last year. Would debate on doing it again for this year but would only be picking up singles.
I also like seeing Catarina Macario in the checklist but that's about it.

Survivor fans drop serious cash on memorabilia like authentic buffs so I wouldn't be surprised to see this selling for way more than it should as a common auto upon release. And then hopefully the price/supply stabilizes so I can get one cheap.

Weirdest sports auto for me is Steven Bergjwin, who is a decent soccer player but has zero relevance globally or to the United States. Kinda like how Andre Silva was included last year or the year before.

Looks like they got rid of the relics and most boxes now have an auto but typically of a base “prospect” type. Very few non sports autos fewest I can remember, Which are usually the ones that sell well. No singers no well known actors just not worth $120. This is an $80 max value.

I watched part of Titan open a case yesterday and I do like the look of the base cards. Probably the best looking base in a while but I knew barely anyone in the set. Normally I know quite a few people.

When it hits ePack I'll try a box or some packs but that's about it.

Hopefully 2023 Goodwin is better in terms of subjects.

Question - so I opened a couple of boxes of this. For the base set, card #1 is Michael Jordan. But there's also a card #1 that says "His Airness" with the same Jordan picture.

I don't see anywhere in the checklist any discussion of base card variations. Just wondering if anyone has heard something along those lines, or might have any idea how rare they could be. I don't know if it's just the Jordan or any other card in the checklist that has this.

Yes I’ve seen nickname cards as well as blank backs. I think Danny Way is “Irish” is one I saw on YouTube.

I knew this would be rough and I opened one box, the fact that one of the two hits can be a lenticular non bounty is a joke. Upper deck come on these are no different than the parallels. Shows how little content they put in this year.

I opened a case, and got 12 lenticulars and 14 no-name (or relatively no-name) autos. One map relic, 4 bug patches, and 1 Lincoln Memorial card. It's the worst case of Goodwin I've ever seen, by a mile.

It really feels like they have pivoted towards making this like any other sport-based product and away from some of the cool stuff that made Goodwin fun in the first place. Even on the checklist, there always used to be a nice smattering of actors/actresses, etc. Now it's all athletes with a handful of models.

If the hits are just going to be 3D cards and autographs of college football players and surfboarders, with the occasional map relic or bug patch, then what's the point?

Yeah it makes me suspect Upper Deck is having financial issues. Have not seen any great cases of this. This is a $60 a box value. Unicorns are few and far between.

Nickname variation 1:2,667 packs. I pulled one in epack.

Saw a Jordan went for $25. With a 10 card checklist that means any specific player is 1:20,667 packs. I would have assumed they were more valuable than that given the rarity.

Graded one of Zalatoris and none were on ebay for a while but now there's a few on epack when I last checked

I think that was my Jordan that sold for $25. I was surprised it wasn't more popular as well. I don't think people were really that aware of these.
