I'm a die hard Braves fan, through and through. But I love the game of baseball. It's hard to watch what the Blue Jays and White Sox are doing and not think a WS is coming to their cities at some point. Both teams are at very similar positions in their team builds. Simple question. Who gets there first?

The Sox have the bullpen edge, which matters in the postseason. But I’d go with the Jays. Their star offensive players are better than Chicago’s, and I give their starting pitching a slight edge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by eye4talent; 03-17-2022 at 12:58 AM. |

I would very much enjoy seeing both of these teams stay healthy, play to their potential and meet in the ALCS.
After all. It's not like the A's are getting there any time soon.

It's gonna be a fun year. The Jays aren't f'ing around. I love the Sox but they aren't a threat on paper.

Toronto has to play against the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays 57 times a year and I can't name a team in the White Sox division so...

Your point is taken. White Sox can/should win the most pathetic division in all major sports outside of NFL NFC East. The question wasn't which team has a cupcake schedule to the playoffs.

Been a Sox fan my whole life…they are not going anywhere until they can learn to win big games. That said…this team should at least put us in those big games.
Not sure about the poster above saying they weren’t a threat on paper? I mean this in the most unbiased way, they are certainly a threat on paper. |

Well… you’ve got to be in the playoffs to have a chance… so at least the ChiSox have that going for them ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I didn’t say the Jays wouldn’t make it. But getting there gives the ChiSox a chance. I think I saw an analysis one time that said even the worst team in baseball has a 20% chance of beating the best team in baseball in a 7-game series. So getting there is the only thing they need, I guess ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Stat heads can use that to say why Toronto's 2022 will be tainted.

Good point, I haven't even thought about that "advantage" when playing in Toronto. Maybe restrictions life in a month or two. Its getting harder and harder for places to justify their restrictions anymore.
