Just trying to find out what the proper way to handle a buyer who just sent me a message that his purchase, in his own words, “The card was damaged in the mail because your lack of packaging. The card & hard sleeve are both bent.” The card was sent out on the 25th and delivered the 28th using the eBay shipping in PWE. Is it sketchy that the buyer would be claiming this just now? The buyer provided no pictures of the damage. What’s the “right way” to handle the situation? Thanks

This is the first buyer reaching out about damage to a card I’ve sent. I wasn’t sure if the buyer puts in a request for a refund, or I just refund it myself?

Tell the buyer to send pictures and file a return request through eBay. Then look at the pictures and if it's damaged give a refund. Make the buyer go through the refund process.

Get pictures, accept return for full refund, then file a claim for the ebay standard envelope here:
