Customer Service thread.
I have not always seen eye to eye with Leaf owner Brian Gray but have always admired the way he treats his customers. I pulled this Julio Rodriguez plate some time in 2020. I found it while sorting Mid 2021 ![]() ![]() When I found it I reached out to Brian and asked if it was supposed to be autographed. He said yes and to send it back and he would add an auto sticker to it and send it back. I few days later I had a reaction to my cancer treatments that sent me for a loop. The next 5 months were trying to find out why I was lethargic, basically falling asleep after walking the dog around the yard. On a lark an MRI on my melon showed a tumor on my pituitary gland that needed to be removed. It was removed the day before Thanksgiving day 2021 Took about a month to recover enough to go back to work, which was ending Feb 22 as the plant was closing. I was offered a transfer but the illness from the summer before made me decline the offer. Once we found out what was going on it was too late to get back into the transfer. A new job was found and I started June 1st this year. Labor day weekend I found the card again and reached out to Brian to see if the offer was still good. He said yes. He was under no obligation to do so. So I sent if off to Leaf to Brian's attention I checked with CS a couple weeks later and CS told me they received the plate but had no more Julio stickers. I told them no biggie. They asked what I collected and I told them Boston teams. I was told they would be sending me a Julio auto with a couple others. I was appreciative Got the package on 10 days ago. The Julio is /10 the Lawrence a 1/1 proof auto and a Phil Esposito auto 1\1 plate. The Expo is staying with me and the other 2 will be moved to help worthy causes. Proceeds will go 50% each to my Toys for Tots campaign and gift cards for locals seniors through a program with my local Police Department. Here is the haul for Toys for Tots so far.... https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1537396 ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are the sales threads for the 2 cards https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1539623 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1539622

Day before Thanksgiving 2021 had brain tumor removed. If I can get through the next 3 days unscathed I will be happy.

It’s certainly refreshing to see a positive post have so few responses. Well done, BO! Pat yourselves on your backs.

I’m glad they went above and beyond for you, that’s good stuff.
I’m beyond thrilled you’ve been able to seemingly dodge a life threatening health scare. What you’re doing for charity is incredible. Choosing to do great things for others with a life sized, scary as hell personal challenge like cancer in your life is part of your legacy forever. That’s awesome they sent you those, and even more so that you just keep giving!
If only the rest of the world could see the benefit in being as giving and gracious as you are, we would be doing alright. Keep doing what you do! You say you are hoping for three days without any events, here’s to hoping you have 30 event free happy Thanksgivings!
