Default Board man gets a tracker - Kawhi Leonard 2012-13 NT RPA /199 tracker

Let me start with some good news...unlike Anthony Davis' card from this set, I haven't found any patches that were swapped.

Some general notes/observations about this card:
  • Kawhi wasn't as sought after right out of the gate in 2012 compared to a player like Anthony Davis
  • You won't see specific cards pulled on camera - Kawhi's card was a redemption. Some were redeemed at the 2013 National.
  • Cards direct from Panini were typically packed in a one-touch holder with clear tap over the actual magnetic portion.
  • The most common damage on these include little "cuts" or creases on the top corners of the patch window.

Anyway, I hope this free tool helps some of you out. Please help me fill in any information I'm missing!

Nice work compiling all of these. Over time I think these trackers will become the definitive hobby resources for RPAs.

I have #196/199

It currently is residing in a Quad 9.5 case

It was the very last one Panini had in stock. They gave it to me as a replacement for a Kevin Durant HRX Gold Redemption.

Thanks guys! Do you have pics of the cards you're referring to?

One more note on these cards is that the cards were in hand with Panini at the National that year in Chicago.

If you busted National Treasures and pulled the Kawhi RPA redemption you could bring it directly to the Panini booth and they would hand you the Kawhi NT RPA.

Appreciate your hard work on this. While I don't own a Kwahi or AD I've followed these as well. More so on the AD.

National Treasure have been around for 10 years now. The game has changed from trimming cards to swapping out patches now. There is obviously big money in both if you can get away with it. Unlike a classic car, museum painting, or diamond ring there is enough expertise out there to expose a fake or altered product. Typically that doesn't go over well I assume with millionaire's.

I have a simple solution that can fix this remedy at the very least for the most expensive rpa type basketball/football products! In fact its something that I'm sure someone brought up 10-15 years ago. I'm sure Upper Deck and Panini has thought about for the last 10-15 years.

Take a picture of every RPA! Lets face it, the high end boxes our out of control! Dealers are fine with this. For the most part customers like the high end products. Why not reward both with a long lasting relationship with a picture database available for the public? If they happen to hold some back, who cares!! At least we can see what the card looks like. If they re create a card, update it in the database!! I'm surprised this hasn't come more to the forefront as people get burned. I won't be a high end card unless it's been verified; and I don't mean by BGS or PSA. There has to be more evidence than that. This will eventually come to the forefront and more exposure will surface. Heck look where we've come in the last 1-2 years.

I'd love for Panini to actually create the database. I think I remember them saying they would around 2014 and obviously that never came to be.

The good thing about 2012-onward is that a lot of these big products are being broken on camera. I've seen (and documented) several nice AD RPA pulled on camera. If I'm in the market for one, those would be the ones I pursue. Kawhi NT will be tougher because those were redemptions.

I don't see any obvious manipulation with this one (032/199), but I think all potential buyers should know it's history. Maybe one more crack and resubmit and they can get a 9.5? I guess that crease in the top right patch window is regenerating somehow.

Hmmmm. Maybe I should have bought one of these when I was in a San Antonio card shop back in 2015 for $400.

Seems like quite the price rise.

Wax on, wax off. Seems like someone know to target cards with surface issues vs. edge/ corner issues.

I owned this card when it was in an 8.5 holder.

The card has a small crease in the top right of the patch window.

Yeah I mentioned that in my first post but it's nice to have a first hand account. I think I have close ups on my PC at home if anyone needs to see them.

Im registering mine 069/199. It has that stupid crease on the upper right patch window. I got mine either from Crazymj or Vu Pham's GB as a redemption.
