Have you researched the info on the COA?

The guarantee is for life...but "life" of who or what?

The entity never existed as a "legal entity" (corporation or LLC) and you have no idea who (or what) is claiming it is "authentic."

Okay so Paul Newman passed away in 2008, so wtf would he have signed in a paint pen which have mainly been popular the past 5 years or so.

You have your answer.

Assume it is not legitimate and move on.

All COAs are worthless. Look for JSA or BAS certs to start. Then ask in an autograph forum if those certs and autos look legit.

paint pens have been popular for a lot longer than 5 years. I've been using them since 2010.

Terry Pendleton signed a couple of cards for me in 1997 with one. They are definitely nothing new.

I'm not saying paint pens didn't exist prior to 2008. I'm saying they wouldn't be the normal signing tool prior to 2008 which would be a Sharpie.

Sharpie black, sharpie blue, silver or gold would be the standards for anything 2000 - 2018 imho. If you sent anything off to get signed prior to that those were your main options unless you sent your own paint pen in with your item.

Now? Sure, whatever color of the rainbow you want for a send-in or photo. But that's a recent change is what I am saying.
