I'm submitted some cards to PSA for the first time and I have a:
2007 Upper Deck exquisite rookie signature baseball card of Derek Jeter and Phil Hughes Platinum 1/1 Having a hard time determining a rough estimate.Someone has a 1/2 gold on eBay and are asking almost $2k for it. I simply don't believe that kind of price for this card. Any suggestions? I really don't want to PSA to "upgrade" me. |

PSA Regular service has a DV up to $1,499 (~$75). That should cover you. You can go PSA Express with a DV of $2,499 (~$170) if you want, but I don’t think you need to.
I once subbed a card work $1k at the $199 DV level and didn’t get uncharged. I don’t recommend it though. |

Dual autos can be hard to judge sometimes, especially 1/1s. I think you'd be safe staying under $1,499 like the poster above mentioned.
There might not be a better buyer for this one than Phil Hughes himself. He's a big card guy and is a member here, although he hasn't been around for a year or so.

Thank you. This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm actually on the fence about grading it. I don't see it grading better than a 7, but again it is a 1/1. I do plan on keeping it for my pc unless Phil wanted it, then I would just trade with him.

I wouldn’t even bother grading, that set is rough for condition but it sounds like you already know that. There’s other listings that point to it being under $1500 so you should be fine with regular service.
