Default I'm expecting a run on CMAC cards...

It looks like he is poised for a monster year less another ill timed injury does anybody seeing his cards getting hot again if he has another 2K yards from scrimmage season?

Thanks for all replies!

He a fantastic player and hope he puts up the best year ever. But he’s also injury prone.

I'm going to wait until he gets injured again to pick some up dirt cheap.

Sold a PSA 10 Prizm White Sparkle RC for $1500 when he got traded to San Fran (there's one offered now for a starting bid of $3k).

Couldn't have envisioned Purdy Mania at the time, but was definitely scared of his injury history.

I bought lots of CMC after his last injury and surprisingly the prices didn't tank at all.

There are no modern, game used rookie year cards.

in my opinion, his prices are pretty well baked in. they just are what they are, and probably what they will be. he is a running back and their stuff just does not move like qb cards do. sure, people might go up on what they are asking, but the ones that sell in auction will probably, for the most part, stay flat from now on

I think the market on his high end is helped by the fact that a very well known influencer PCs that stuff.

Personally I'd stay away from investing or even short term flipping an injury prone RB.

You must be new to cards. Baseball is all game used and football has plenty of game used in the past. Cards with patches that came from a jersey off a store rack are not good holds

Best to avoid store bought jersey patch cards then

The CMac market is one the one I have the most trouble making heads or tales of.

The Bad: He's 27 years old and only has 2 Pro Bowls, 1 All pro, 5,200 rushing yards. He won't finish his career at the top of many leaderboards.

The Good: He's the poster boy for Fantasy Football dominance. He's exciting to watch and now that he's on a good team he has a chance to make a run at league MVP. He's a popular player and can put up some big numbers the next few seasons if he can stay healthy.

From a football perspective I like to think about Marshall Faulk and Ladanian Tomlinson, because those two are realistically above the ceiling of CMac, but if he stays healthy he could wind up bucketed with them.

It's wild he didn't make the Pro Bowl in 2018 with almost 2000 total YDs and 13 TDs.
