Default Which Pelican Case to buy

I have about 50 PSA cards currently (and growing 10 or so a year) and was wondering which Pelican case I should get to house them in. Not sure on sizes/types.

I have the Pelican 1500 and absolutely love it. But, I think it's the only model I've ever had so can't really compare to the other models.

If you have a Harbor Freight or can order online check out their Apache cases. They are like Pelican.

I have the 1520 shown below. Holds probably 50 slabs with a cushion between each. That would be more than doubled if you didn’t want foam between each. I have a smaller one (im2075) as well.

The 1500 & 1520 are nice, but not quite enough vertical height for my liking. It felt like the cards were getting squished when closing the lid.

I went with the 1550 and like it MUCH better.

How many does this on hold? Is the foam precut?

The 1550 can come with either pluck-apart foam or solid foam. Go with pluck-apart.

You can make 4 rows that hold about 55 PSA per row (with no spacers). A case should hold about 200 PSA cases. Less BGS die to more thickness

Yeah, you have to take the foam out of the top compartment on mine for it to be able to close comfortably. Not sure if with yours with the foam in the top that allows you to carry the case any way you want. For mine, with top foam out, I can't really carry the case around by the handle as the cards would all fall out (have to carry with both hands on the sides). But, mine just sit in a closet anyways, so not that I care all that much not being able to carry it around by the handle.

This. A million times, this. Here's the link: https://www.harborfreight.com/4800-w...ack-64250.html

Plus, with Harbor Freight always has a 20% off coupon that you can easily find with a google search.

I believe any of them will hold BGS/PSA cards. In terms of how many I’m not sure. I don’t have many graded cards. I’m going to be buying the largest size which was posted in the link a few posts back.

Which one holds, roughly, 100 BGS slabs?

I like having my cards displayed “nicely” which is why I can’t support the pelican style case. If you are traveling with your cards then it makes sense, otherwise it just looks gross. There’s a guy on net54 that sells custom oak boxes that are gorgeous.

Im between the Pelican 1400 and the Pelican 1500. Does anybody have these? If you do have these, roughly, how many BGS slabs does each one hold?

I'd like my case to have room for 100-110 slabs?

I compared them and the Pelican 1500 is about 5 inches longer, 3 inches wider, and about an inch taller than the 1400. $50 price difference and each come with the Pick and Pluck foam.

Would depend on if the case is for storage only, road trips, or plane travel. There are less pricey alternatives like Nanuk and they don't have splashy Pelican logos to catch the attention of thieves.

I have 2 of these and they are great, very sturdy. I keep a mix of PSA, BGS and one touches, you can get 120ish BGS cards into 1 of them.

Wow, 120? Do you mind taking a picture of the inside layout with the slabs please? I have a harbor freight near me and I may head over that way for this. Thanks!
