Thumbs up Prospecting cheap wax for awesome inserts.

Have not seen a thread on this.
Not rookie auto centric but insert centric ….?
I am new can’t lie lol and don’t have the depth of history
You guys have…
Is there any worthy wax out there that won’t
Kill a new guys wallet ?
Maybe with a little age to it?
Mid 1990s to mid 2000 s?
Not even autos per se patches or relics
What say you?
Any faves ?
Or personal collection pics?
Curious what may be out there ?
Also wanted to just say thanks
Been enjoying the interactions.

Late 90s Pacific for sure. Not only are some of the inserts incredible, but you actually have a real shot at pulling them in a box.

If you want to go more modern I believe the "Home Field Advantage" insert has been around long enough that a few of the years wax is probably pretty cheap. I personally love those inserts and they are rare so if you do hit it's not only cool but could be more valuable than most inserts.

I would assume so. The 1992 Donruss Elite cards fall into that category. You would think that #/10000 would mean cheapish cards, but it's not the case at all. The Frank Thomas version seems to go for $100+ raw.

Tiffany cards were only sold to dealers as complete sets and were not inserts from what I remember. I don't know how many sets were produced, though.

Initially 5k sets, but went up to like 30K pretty quickly.

Those Elites are still a rare pull, just because of how overproduced 1991-1993 Donruss was. However, the cards are very nice. The Elite Dominators, for the most part, were not pack-inserted, rather they were giveaways/incentives for people buying packages from Shop AT Home Network, the television channel. I remember buying a couple of repack boxes and getting some. For some of the Elite Dominators, the players autographed the first 2500 of the 5000 cards.

Similarly, you can chase early 90s UD products for the autographed heroes cards. Something like 1:20-25 cases.

Best thing to do is look here and research for yourself to see what you may be interested in chasing:

https://baseballcardpedia.com/index.php/1993_Fleer

https://baseballcardpedia.com/index.php/1995_Ultra

It will list different inserts, odds where known, checklists, etc. At the bottom of each page there should be links to other years. It won't tell you values if that's something you care about, so you will have to research those separately.

Everyone just give terrible advice as it’s clear someone isn’t sharp
