I legitimately thought this was a hack.

I have no idea how this trade makes any sense, mainly for LA.

I have no idea how Dallas could possibly have considered the idea of trading Luka.

I can kind of see it for Dallas. LA however is kind of a head scratcher. I’m just absolutely shocked Dallas would let Luka go.

- Lakers: Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris

- Mavericks: Anthony Davis, Max Christie, 2029 LAL 1st

They weren't winning anything this or next year.

LeBron walk after next season. You have Luka and cap space in LA for 2026.

I think Dallas was convinced Luka was going to leave when he got to free agency and wanted to get something back. And their season was lost and now maybe they can get into the playoffs with AD
