After a scarcity of new Marvel card products produced in 2022, it looks like 2023 has swung too far in the other direction. Too much Marvel stuff hitting and very few sets other than MM are taking off in secondary.

Sticker autos featuring people we've seen already from a movie that came out almost two years ago with contents that will in no way justify the box price. Feels like Groundhog's Day.

You know that Cumberbatch MCU autos are like 2k+ right?
Compared to the other sets that have come out recently (Falcon and Winter Soldier, Eternals, Shang-Chi, Spider-Verse and even Wandavision) this actually has the auto lineup to justify that $100 price point. All those other sets also had VERY tough auto odds. Loki also looks like a set with an auto lineup where a $100 price point isn’t a crazy ask.

All those other products should have released at the $70-75 mark (which they are currently now sitting at for physical boxes) and they wouldn’t have been viewed as “failures” but that’s what the collusion amongst distributors will do unfortunately.

The $100 price point does change things in my mind, didn't know that's the going rate so this actually isn't a kick in the jewels I thought it would be, thanks for letting me know!

I don’t believe Benedict has many autos out. I’m not going to be buying this but his autos will be highly sought after.

It's also an auto that fell like 1 in 50 cases or less for the last Doctor Strange set. You were much more likely to get one of the $3 autos of random doctors that worked at the hospital with Strange in the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Kind of like Lebron James in Space Jam, Upper Deck will only insert a handful of Cumberbatch autos in Dr. Strange.

I recently purchased a case from theawesomecardshop.com. The factory tape with the diamond pattern on the bottom of the box had been cut and resealed with clear tape. Most of the serial numbers on the boxes inside were different.

I feel ripped off. They claim to be an Upper Deck authorized retailer, so I guess Upper Deck doesn't care whom they give that distinction to. How can anyone enjoy this hobby with this type of rampant deception from "authorized dealers"?
