LOVE the Aaron auto bat.
Some other nice stuff, nothing super high grade, but I would be attending if I was in the area. |

From what I heard, does estate sales usually jack up prices? Close to me so I might give it a shot.

You definitely want your estate sales to just be run by the relatives of whomever's estate it was. Once the companies get involved you're basically buying off Ebay just without shipping and fees.

Just searched them up. Looks like Emmanuel estate sales is a professional company that handles estate sales for customers so prices will probably be close to retail.

It might be worth going to you if your close. A lot of time the Estate Sale people will have the Expensive stuff priced at retail, who knows you might find a box of commons of 50-60s mixed in for $10. Since they have nice stuff shown you never know. Low hanging fruit is easy to price, it is the obscure stuff they do not know.

If I was nearby I would definitely check it out. I have a feeling someone is going to get there early and make an offer on everything, retail prices or not. Otherwise I would go on Saturday, when professional estate sales usually have 50-75% sales.

Only 25 minutes from me so I checked it out today. Good stuff was gone of course but they were making deals today. Picked up a few things. I took some pics for you to see. Stuff seemed to be marked at retail value

From the looks that one is probably a 2, but still has decent eye appeal. It seams like someone would take a chance on it or as a collector, I would have at least offered $80 on it, which from my experience at estate sales, would be close enough to leave with the card. A lot of those other lesser HOFers from the 50s and 60s marked at $3-5 each would have left with me in a lot. Easy to add up 100 cards in the $3-5 range, offer $250 and there is a good chance they say yes, just to much a bunch of volume.
