I few years back I bought a large lot of pictures that were taken at the 92 Dream Team Practice. The famous practices that were in San Diego and have been well documented in the Dream Team documentaries that have come out in the last few years.
The lot has about 200 different pictures of the 92 practice and even some from Dream Team II and Dream Team III (games and practices). I’m fairly certain these were from the original photographer, but obviously don’t know when they were printed. They are very cool pictures of some NBA greats that have probably never been published. My question is can these be considered Type 1, or Type 2 pictures? Can a picture that someone took, printed, and kept in a box be considered a Type 1 photograph or are they just personal mementos? I think they’re an awesome piece of basketball history and have no intention of selling them. Just wondering if it’s something that can be slabbed. They’re not all great quality (bad lighting, blurry, etc.) Here’s just a few of the better ones.
