Default Marvel Topps Now and Other Topps Marvel Print To Order

I thought it would be good to keep track of Marvel Topps Now and other related print to order (e.g. Topps Living, Throwbacks, etc) that might pop up on the Topps website from time to time.

1. 2025 Marvel Topps NOW® Captain America Brave New World - PR: 8039 $16
2. 2025 Marvel Topps NOW® Daredevil: Born Again - PR: 9019 $16
3. 2025 Marvel Topps NOW® Thunderbolts* - PR: 3042 $16
4. 2025 Marvel Topps NOW® Ironheart - PR: 1592 $16

Feel free to post news and/or images as they are announced in the thread below. It looks like they might be doing them for each MCU movie and tv show premiere. Hopefully, it eventually expands to include auto offerings like they do with some of their baseball Topps Now cards.

I’m hoping there is 1 for Andor season 2. That’s probably the only other one for me this year. I bought BNW but passed on Daredevil

Pretty impressive numbers when you obviously can't chase autos like most Topps Now, the image variations are pretty sick though

Thunderbolts movie releases May 2, 2025, so that will likely be the next one of these. I agree numbers so far are strong on the first two factoring in there were no autos. If they dangle an auto or two for Thunderbolts, it will be interesting to see how much the sales increase.

Oops haha. I glazed over the Marvel part of the title and just assumed Topps would do these for all Disney+ TV and movies under the Disney umbrella since they have in the past. This is like posting about a signed book in the Signed CD thread I guess.

Topps Now Thunderbolts is up now through May 5. Unfortunately, no auto chance and card itself is a bit of a yawner…

Print run of Thundebolts was pretty small compared to the first two Marvel Topps Now…

Good luck! Lower print run is good for you since it betters your chances to nab a numbered parallel.

When the card is chonky like Project 2020/70/100 then I understand the magnetic case ... but yeah for these Topps Now base cards? They're nice cards and all but hard pass. It's so annoying to store something this thick and heavy for a card that could just as well go in a penny sleeve or binder. Glad I skipped the Brittany Palmer Star Wars releases and, given how much room my Project cards take up, I'll just be skipping any plastic encased base releases.

The first marvel card Captain America base can be found for $3-$5+shipping from a handful of sellers on ebay. Not a great sign. Even the Throwback Thursday Star Wars cards maintain better value and they were far cheaper and easier to store.

I didn’t get any of the Project cards during peak COVID but have been collecting them (mostly for cheap) on COMC with credit. A lot of cool stuff in those Project sets. And, for now at least, space isn’t an issue since I haven’t sent any home beyond the handful I won on eBay.

EDIT: here is one of my faves…

Oh man did I go hard on Ermsy & Pardee trying to make foil sets ... gave up though I still watch hoping the price will plummet. Ended up with a lot of base that I'm fine sitting on since the artwork and all is so enjoyable to me. COMC is GREAT for filling holes on those given you can get flat rate shipping ...

I think Daniel Jacob Horine (Pop Fly) in Project 100 should also be considered for favorite artwork. Those J-Rod, Ohtani & Gore cards are so good.

Yep the pr is going to be grotesque. In true star wars addict fashion, I'm in after all my complaints about this format. Whattareyagonnado?

Wow. The print run was about half of what I expected. 20 pack buyers are pretty much guaranteed a short print or a numbered parallel.

I'm not sure what the odds on the SPs are ... if it's 1:20 then yeah, of course. I'm hoping that's what it is ... I ordered 40 of them just because we don't seem to be getting a dedicated set for Andor so if this is it, I got the rewards points to blow.

Anyway, as far as parallels I counted 266 which means each card has a 266/5507 = 4.83% chance to get a "hit". I find it's easier to think about this as "what are the odds I don't get a hit?" and that value is 1-0.0483 = 0.9516 and now we can say "what are the odds that twenty cards get no hits?" and that is (0.9516)^20 or, on average, about a third of the 20 packs will have no parallels given true random distribution -- the other two thirds will. I understand that my math isn't 100% accurate (each "miss" removes one card from the remaining) but it is close enough without getting into factorials in fractions. Google refuses to compute those for me and I'm not going to type them out.

I thought the print run would have been double as well due to the inclusion of an auto hit.

I wonder if people aren't burned out on that chase.

In MLB anyway, the expected value increase doesn't even come close to the increase in cost per card at the different levels. In my opinion, Topps is really abusing collectors and printing money on the "LOOK FOR" Topps Now offerings. I'm sure they'll milk that until it's completely dead anyway. Saves me a lot of money.
