Default October Pickups

We are almost 2/3 of the way through October and I don’t think we have a pickup thread yet.

I picked up this cool Blizzard plate set…

And I also try to pickup some vintage each month. Here are some Poultry Alphabet cards from the 1920’s

Squirrel Girl was the October pick up. It finished off shelf number 3 out of 6. Just a few more cards to go for the "closet project". After that, I'll strictly be a seller...at least that's what I keep telling myself

Classic card -- loved it as a kind.

Arguably one of the best Venom cards. Solid pickup in Gem 10.

Here is mine in “PMG” (well it’s a sketch by Ausch)

I've kept a collection of the 2003-04 Upper Deck Disney Treasures Reel Piece of History Film Frame cards. I haven't added to it in a while, but someone recently listed a bunch of singles with the film frames (which are different in every card) nicely displayed.

I picked up a couple with particularly nice frames, one from Snow White and one from Nightmare Before Christmas (from which I already had dozens of cards). I love the crazed look in the Queen's eyes and the Nightmare Card is notable for the sheer amount of characters, somewhere around 13 in all, within those small frames.

Very nice Adventure Time collection!

Please add them to this thread, too, if you would:

For sure I will, once I do a thread all on it's own for my closet/PC. Not sure when that'll be, but eventually . All the photos I have put up thus far will automatically delete after 6 months.

6? I think it's 6. That'd be the second most by 1 person in that photo(Thanks, Matt!). And none of the AT sketches I've bought are my favorite card that I've bought from you...that's in my PC closet

Lower left is my favorite. Natasa Kourti did very similar sketches across multiple sets (2 character embrace) and I think I had like 4 of those across multiple sets… including an AP.

Top 3 of the ones I own(the Tansa Finn/PBG). Charles Hall oversized gets the nod for #1 and I guess #2 might just be the Dan B.W with Finn/Jake/Lady Rainicorn, though that and the Finn/PBG is close

My favorite card that I've got from you in the PC closet is a 2014 Premier Gold Rocket PSA 10

PS. If you had listed more before I was done with that part of the PC, I'd have probably bought more

This is so awesome…cool to see it all come together!

Congrats on the epic shelf finished- the Hall oversized is probably my favorite since I love his artwork…but really is some great variety and makes for a very colorful shelf. Well done!

Do sport mascot cards crossover to nonsports? If so, I would like to share this pickup.

And I got this cool mascot slab back today… fun stuff!

EDIT: and in other mascot news… the Tusky debit card is available for the next week on ePack under their New Arrivals set.

I have a slapshot too! He just hasn’t come back from PSA yet…

EDIT: I actually have two different years worth of Slapshot that are at PSA currently. Here is the other one and it has a cool image of the eagle on the swatch (from the sleeve … I believe… pardon the rhyme)

Some error returns from CGC

This one is kinda annoying because I dont agree with their error designation- has nothing to do with a crimp...it's an over-foil (too much foil).

That Carnage looks...crazy, haha! Nice cards, Dyna.

I had a small mail day yesterday... The start to my FINAL, "FINAL"...I swear, FINAL framed piece for the closet. A 4 piece Phoenix to go underneath the Fred.Ian signed poster from UB, one of my favorites

Also, various junk and various not-so-junk, for my not-so-junk pile.
