Okay, we're going to need a nickname for the big fella, so out of these 3 which one would you vote for?
No.1 ![]() or No.2 ![]() ...or since Goldschmidt is already an awesome name should we just use what Mark Grace says @ the 0:24 second mark of the homer highlight below? No.3 August 25th Goldschmidt home run call. Last edited by georgewashinton; 09-04-2011 at 04:56 AM. |

Strikeouts will happen in your first month in the big leagues, especially when you draw pitchers like Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cain (twice), Lincecum (twice), Kershaw, and the entire Braves rotation during that month.
When your average homer is 425 feet though you need a nickname. |

Number 2 should already be thrown out. Paul Bunyan is pretty much Jim Thome.

Goldy is a good hitter and I don't see him being as free-swinging as Mark Reynolds. I think that he is a more disciplined hitter that can draw walks and get on base with hits other than the longball.

I would say Brewer killer but David Freese fits that better.
