Default Haiku - for those who didn't know.... (a must read)

SUCKERS!

A Haiku in English is a short poem which uses imagistic language to convey the essence of an experience of nature or the season intuitively linked to the human condition.[1] It is a development of the Japanese haiku poetic form in the English language.

Contemporary haiku are written in many languages, but most poets outside of Japan are concentrated in the English-speaking countries[citation needed].

Some of the more common practices in English include:

Use of three lines of up to 17 syllables;[1]
Use of a season word (kigo);[citation needed]
Use of a caesura or kire represented by punctuation, space, a line-break, or a grammatical break[1] to compare two images implicitly.[2]
English haiku do not adhere to the strict syllable count found in Japanese haiku,[3] and the typical length of haiku appearing in the main English-language journals is 10–14 syllables.[4][5] Some haiku poets are concerned with their haiku being expressed in one breath[6][7][8] and the extent to which their haiku focus on "showing" as opposed to "telling".[9][10] Haiku uses an economy of words to paint a multi-tiered painting, without "telling all".[11] As Matsuo Bashō put it, "The haiku that reveals seventy to eighty percent of its subject is good. Those that reveal fifty to sixty percent, we never tire of."[12]

Totally played out - I know. Just wanted to further exacerbate an already overdone topic....

No harm meant

But seriously can somebody paraphrase what the Haiku member did? I know he scammed but could someone sum it up we he did more specifically for me rather than me reading all the different threads about him.

He had an elaborate scam where he would give good deals and free cards away to build a solid reputation here. Turns out he made people post threads praising him, even had some recipients of free cards say that they knew him personally. Last week (I think) he had some ridiculous sales of "mystery lots" for thousands of dollars. He sold a ton of them and then some people didn't get anything. Then he started saying his wife had a miscarriage and that he was traveling to Hong Kong so the shipments would be delayed. Then he had other members contact buyers and suggested they file claims through paypal. Other members got involved, backing him up, but then they became suspects.

Turns out, the cards we was giving away and selling off in the lots were cards he had ripped off from other members here. He gave them a story that his cards were at BGS for grading but that he would send them out ASAP. He walked away with several thousand dollars in bad deals from the mystery lots. No one can get ahold of him. Members are trying to recoup stolen cards from members that received giveaways from haiku here and some members that have backed haiku have blow up and been banned. Some are suspects and all in all its a crazy situation that seems to be bigger than we know.

When she tells you that, are you wearing a gimp outfit? Not sure why my mind went there, but now I need to know.

It's ok, I myself have a personalized red ball gag so it's not so bad. My wife respects me enough that my cage comes with a peep hole and a Pedialyte drip. Can't complain....really I can't or else she'll beat me
