Default Cards you regret selling or trading!!!!

I am sure this has been a thread before but I looked quite a ways back and didn't see anything so I thought I would start one and hear some regrets!!
I had a 15-16 Select Tie Dye KAT Rookie Card that was graded BGS Pristine 10!! Came into a $$$ situation that was more important for my family than a card on the shelf!! It was a good profit maker since I got in a RT break but still, just miss that card!! It was a beauty and my pride and joy but family comes first!! Maybe some day I can get another one!!
Thanks!!

Damn man sorry to hear about your loss! Seems like you made the right choice though...I think . I don't have any nuts and bolts to offer, as I've never sold a card. (Hoping to change that sometime, but I'm quite the hoarder...I mean collector) But I wanted to say I love the thread topic, and am looking forward to following along. Hope you get another one of those cards one day!

I got out of card collecting in around 2011 for 5 years to fund my game used collection. Had a TON of Lebron rookies and MJ stuff. I still made out well...but would've been a lottttt better had i kept it all. I do kinda regret it..but it funded some big time game used purchases so it was still worth it in the long run

Traded my Giannis NT RPA /99 & Giannis NT RPA /25, at the time thought it was a good deal for a Jordan Exquisite Patch/Auto, but I ended up getting crushed in that deal 2 years later

LeBron Topps Chrome Refractor RC - Sold it for $435 several years ago
LeBron James 14-15 Prizm Fireworks Gold /10 - Sold for $225
LeBron James Select Sky High Gold /10 - Sold for around $225 as well

Not basketball but I had a Crosby Sp Authentic Auto RC /999 that I sold for around $450

I used to collect a hockey set as well 2005-06 UD Ice Premieres Auto Patches /10 which were EXTREMELY hard to come across. I had 10-15 different ones and sold them all, now Im lucky if one to pops up on ebay every 6 months.

You live and learn.

I regret selling a couple of my nicer MJs a little bit. I sold roughly $1k of Jordans to help fund a 5-year anniversary trip for my wife and I. Totally, 156% worth it don't get me wrong, and honestly I don't miss most of the cards, but two I'd like back: 97-98 Planet Metal and UD High Dimensions /2000. I'll hopefully reacquire them some day

These 5 cards are definitely the ones I miss the most :/ I actually did profit on all of these except the Durant which I sold too early.

I regret selling my two LeBron autos - Exquisite 3 color patch auto and Chronology Auto. Regardless of what they're worth, I just miss those two cards the most. They were beautiful cards.

Not Basketball, but I regret selling Mike Trout 2009 Bowman Chrome Blue Refractor auto too early. I don't necessarily miss this card (I personally think it's an ugly card), but I wish I held onto it a little longer before selling it.

Thankfully, I have already bought back just about all of my top cards I regretted selling back in college.

The only remaining one that I have yet to get another copy of is the KG 96-97 Autographics. But I'm not too worried, I will get one again eventually.

Some amazing cards in here. I sold a Jokic Prizm Silver for $8 and the Rookie Mojo for $300. Wish I still had them.

In the mid 2000s, I spend too much money purchasing cases of basketball cards with my credit card and went into debt, so I sold the majority of my Kobe RC PC to payoff my debt. I regretted it. Below are some of the more expensive ones. You can see the rest here:

I said it many times and I'll say it again. UD CHRONOLOGY TIMELESS MOMENT CANVAS AUTO LEBRON JAMES #/99. Sold for $300 when he left for Miami. You know what happened after that....

On top of a bunch (5) of topps chrome rcs of Lebron I traded for non sports crap. Pretty much when Panini took over, I was over basketball cards like some of us were. Shouldve just held is what I tell myself. Lol. Live and learn I guess.

Sold my Lebron James 2008-09 Chrome refractor (the chalk toss one) for under $50 before his pre panini refractors jumped in price. Thinking back I have no idea why as I love that damn card.

Very rarely does anyone miss the actual card. They just wish they sold it for more. I have loads of examples. But one card I have never seen again and regret selling is the 07/08 Exquisite Finalists David Robinson/Hakeem Olajuwon /25

Fantastic card and set
