It was quite the ordeal on Black Friday last year; Steve Grad (Beckett), JSA, and PSA/DNA won't authenticate them for that reason. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another, but the fact that none of the reputable authenticators will touch them was enough for me to avoid spending $150 on one (and $350 on Barack's book).

There are some really good threads in the RACC Facebook group from last year at this time of folks trying to match signatures.

There was also some commentary that Brian Gray wasn't touching them for some of the Leaf cuts/products that he likes to scoop these books and CDs for. I won't speak to it definitively because I don't know and don't have any stock in either Obama book, but I wanted to put it out there before people start spending mortgage payments on these Barack deluxe editions.

I may run out Friday morning just to go see since we have a B&N close by. Only one they showed that I want is Natalie Portman, but still holding out hope some GPK RL Stine books might show up, I'm still salty they cancelled mine.

The Garnett book isn't supposed to come out until sometime next year I thought, so I'd be surprised if they had it in the email about BFSE.

Yep, these Black Friday Signed Editions (BFSE) are only available in-stores. Although a lot of these were available online at B&N and elsewhere around their original publication dates.
