It was quite the ordeal on Black Friday last year; Steve Grad (Beckett), JSA, and PSA/DNA won't authenticate them for that reason. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another, but the fact that none of the reputable authenticators will touch them was enough for me to avoid spending $150 on one (and $350 on Barack's book).

There are some really good threads in the RACC Facebook group from last year at this time of folks trying to match signatures.

That's why I don't see any third-party authenticated copies on ebay...I see, I see...

There was also some commentary that Brian Gray wasn't touching them for some of the Leaf cuts/products that he likes to scoop these books and CDs for. I won't speak to it definitively because I don't know and don't have any stock in either Obama book, but I wanted to put it out there before people start spending mortgage payments on these Barack deluxe editions.

For Star Wars fans, BAM has preorders for the new The High Republic - Light of the Jedi book autographed by author Charles Soule. Looks like it qualifies for the buy 2 get 1 free sale. Grabbed mine, but didn't see any other autographs I was interested in.

I can’t seem to find a final list of the Black Friday books online. They’re in store only but not sure if it’s worth getting up early for.

I may run out Friday morning just to go see since we have a B&N close by. Only one they showed that I want is Natalie Portman, but still holding out hope some GPK RL Stine books might show up, I'm still salty they cancelled mine.

I was told that my B&N will only have 5 copies of each autographed book...so, unless you are the first 5...why even bother?

I’m curious how her sigs will look in those books and I’d also be interested in checking the Steve Martin sigs to swap mine out if he signed fuller name.

Obama books should be legit unless they’re lying or don’t actually know.

Nabbed 3 from target with the b2g1 sale

The Garnett book isn't supposed to come out until sometime next year I thought, so I'd be surprised if they had it in the email about BFSE.

Yep, these Black Friday Signed Editions (BFSE) are only available in-stores. Although a lot of these were available online at B&N and elsewhere around their original publication dates.

Did anyone check to see if these showed up in stores early? Weren't they in stores a week early last year? I guess it doesn't matter at this point.

Anything particularly noteworthy in the B&N list? I will attempt to pick up a Portman and/or Seinfeld book.

outside of the big name books; and depending on book prices, Ina Garten & Kristen Bell books should sell for 2x msrp.

Pete Buttigieg will be 3x price.

With all the flippers our now I’m really debating if it’s worth the effort..
