There's actually another pretty big story in the hobby right now being investigated on the Net54 forums. People are forging signatures on T206 cards (tobacco cards) and the TPA are slabbing them. I haven't read the thread but someone was telling me about it. You can find it here:

Net54 has also had a long, long thread about a 1936 Goudey World Wide gum that was cracked from an SGC holder, soaked/cleaned and made its way into a PSA 7 holder. PWCC was also somehow involved! It was a great read.

My point with ^^ post is it seems Sorhob still had cards to sell/trade, and was still looking to acquire cards after he supposedly sold off his entire collection and was getting out of the hobby. Again Sohrob could've told Eric one thing and done another, but why would he be buying/selling/trading so publicly on BO?

This gets me to thinking about #74 again. Rookies stated he was part of a trade where he gave up the #74, and again Eric stated he purchased it when acquiring Sohrobs collection. Word is Eric has documentation for everything as one would expect. Eric never mentioned giving up a card in that deal. So did he? Or was this something conjured up by Sohrob to Rookies?

Gang, it’s over…all and for sure the main party just isn’t going to further respond or even care!! One party opens up a can of worms and then changes his tune a little and goes silent, even though his story is likely accurate/true and probably has more to say…2nd party is long gone from card scene…and 3rd party is all over the place in his story!!

Conclusion:

1) ALOT of lies have been told, no question about it….We’re not stupid!!
2) Both BGS 9 Lebron’s will never see an alternate (altered) BGS case…
3) Both BGS 9 Lebron’s will likely be sold (PRIVATELY) way later (YEARS) with potential buyer having no knowledge of this thread or trimming…

Guys like Lucky bumping this thread and keeping it at the forefront is a good thing. At the very least some people will see this thread and look at the Lebrons more carefully. And to be honest look at everything that passes through BNC hands more carefully. He may be innocent in all this - but - it doesn't change the fact the he's holding some very suspect cards and could possibly have many more.

I doubted a lot of the stories that went on in this thread as indeed ALOT of lies were told, but one thing I never doubted was the value of the card...A BGS 9 3-Color (non-trimmed) is easily a $150K-$200K card...

As iconic as that Jordan card is and MJ being the GOAT, the Lebron Exquisite RPA is much more iconic and it's not close...If both on the table, I would easily walk away with the Lebron without blinking!!...Oh, and I hate Lebron and absolutely love MJ and still...A non-trimmed one, though

Look at the left on the black under the UD logo --- you can see a black marker line. I saw this card around 10 years ago in person and it had a large white scratch on it in that same place --- now it is gone.... I have a picture of it ungraded but cannot upload for some reason --- will keep attempting.


While I talk about this card I also want to remind people about old scambags --- lebron 53/99 was trimmed -- see old owner talk about it here - http://www.hobbykings.com/forum/view...a213c85d2d23ad

There is also some that are formerly grade BGS 9 but were later damaged. Card # 74/99 and 64/99 are examples of such.

Then there is #42/99 which I can't find old BO thread on, but was owned by a BO member. The patch window has slits on the top left and bottom right --- was graded Authentic by BGS. Haven't seen this one around in a while --- had a weak 3color patch and always suspected a donkey to try to fake the patch! Hope this isn't the sad case.

Also wanted to say card #63/99 was a one-color patch --- hopefully no one altered it. Just FYI/PSA that it was a one-clr -- I have no knowledge of it being faked... yet...

I don't have photograph proof of trimming for #75/99 and #61/99, but i can tell those are trimmed and know BGS graded them as altered... Public Service Announcement in case they are for sale or PSA grades them!!!

There is only one on ebay i think that is #50/99. This one has yellowing on parts of the card and faded auto --- but is not really advertised as such.....

Be better card community and help stop the scambags!!
