Default PWCC Brent Huigens Hires Mob Boss Attorney

You can't make this up. Darren Rovell is reporting the PWCC scumbag has hired big time attorney Jeffrey Lichtman to represent him. I'd imagine an innocent person needs to go to these extremes...

https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/sta...86627358027778

"Brent Huigens, owner of PWCC, eBay’s largest card seller that has been accused of being complicit in a scheme to sell trimmed cards, has hired Jeffrey Lichtman to represent him. Lichtman represented mob boss John Gotti and currently represents “El Chapo.”'

El Chapo - sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years Wednesday

EDIT: Lichtman represented John Gotti JR, not the mob boss John Gotti

You mean like how he probably wants the best defense possible? What should an innocent man do, hire a public defender?

Some of you are so stupid it's simply unbelievable.

When someone asked 'what are trimmed cards', Rovell said 'Cards that are trimmed to appear more mint', some guy named Patrick responds
"People buying cards that are graded would have nothing to worry about."

Also.....can you even imagine what that lawyer charges?!

I’m thinking Brent was able to trim some of those lawyer charges.

The guy who represented Martin Shkreli has a $100k retainer. He's a partner in what seems from the outside like a fairly successful NYC law firm.

Just saw that guys tweet (different Patrick, not me)... he was referencing the guarantee PSA provides. That if they graded a card a 10 and you prove it was trimmed they owe you the equivalent value of the 10

Cant imagine how many trimmed cards are gonna pay that tab.
Not sure why he would hire him unless this is much bigger than any of us truly can imagine.

I’ll read the full story in a few years im out....and definitely not buying any Vintage before posting pics to get your guys opinions.

Someone should start a “is this card I wanna buy legit” thread..$200+ purchases to make it worthy of a quick glance.

I posted this in another thread. If it can be useful to anyone or if anyone wants to conduct a study with a larger sample, that would be awesome.

- Make sure the graded card was scanned flat on a scanner bed to avoid angular distortion of the measurements.

- Download the image and open it in almost any photo viewing app.

- Measure the pixel width of the white portion of the PSA label. The white and red contrast makes it easier to measure and the sides (width) appear to be sharper than the top and bottom (height) which can be blurred.

- Once you have the pixel total (if the image file name says "sl1600", this should be pretty close to 770 pixels wide; if the image file says "sl800", this will probably be close to 400 pixels wide), multiply it by 0.978 and then by 0.98.

- Now measure the pixel width of the card. This number should fit between the two numbers you got above.

- Now multiple the white label pixel width by 1.365 and then by 1.367. The pixel height of the card should fit between these numbers.

It's not a perfect method, but it's my go to method when I'm seriously considering a modern PSA card.

Thanks for this. I agree that it's an interesting read. Is it wrong that, in my mind, every post by the lawyer counts as a billable hour?

You know who's NEVER hired that guy? An innocent man.

Yup, all those people were guilty. Nevermind that they all went to trial and were found innocent or had charges dropped. The courts are wrong, only criminals hire defense attornies, and you are the true gatekeeper of truth.

As the user on net54 said. This isn't a oopsie by Pwcc. Their listing practices prove that. Hope Brent Mastro and his salt of the earth employees complicit in their fraud get what's coming.
