I did overpay at that time but I believed in the kid. Also grabbed 2 graded optic cards (holo and pink).

I only buy basketball but made the exception for Lamar. I'm a broncos fan but nothing stops me from watching him play, just a fun guy to watch, he's great. Although he may be a running QB, he does do a good job of not taking excessive hits. I think Deshaun Watson got hit more times than lamar did last night.....he took bigger hits too (ankle was almost wasted)…

I probably won't invest more as I only do basketball, but holding onto these 21 cards is enough to keep me interested and excited about what he's doing! I can't help but feel his arm is underrated.
I’m considering cashing in on my Luka RWB Prizm PSA 10 and base Prizm for the short run on Lamar. Luka I believe is a much better bet long term, but Lamar has a higher end short term return.

honestly not a bad idea. Luka is definitely a great long term hold...but the ship may have sailed on getting Lamar at a decent price. The market price has already factored in that he's got a good shot at MVP. But I mena, you'd be selling Luka at premium and buying Lamar at a premium - probably evens out somewhere.

I'm considering selling some lamar's right now just to cover my initial investment (wouldn't have to sell too many) and just holding onto the rest and see where this kid goes...not sure if we'll see much a value bump until/if Russell Wilson has a bad game. Even Mahomes last year leveled off around $60 I believe, even after the MVP announcement and lamar is already approaching $50 recent sales.

If I were to move my Luka's for Lamar I'd prefer Prizm color, Optic holo & color or Elite low #'d cards or something else low #'d. Prizm base is reaching a price ceiling that I'm not sure has too much room to grow.

Marino hobby wise is not what he was 10 years ago. So yes, still sleeping on Marino as well.

Luka with a monster game last night----it's basketball. There is ALWAYS room to grow.

oops edit: you were talking about Lamar.

Luka definitely has room to grow which is pretty insane...basketball is a whole nother beast when it comes to cards...

Pulled this myself. I was really excited at the time because I have a Heisman Trophy winner collection going, now I’m even more excited!

Here is 1 of my 2 Lamar autos. The other is an Optic Rated Rookie Purple Stars /50. This one is numbered 15/15.

If he dominants there should be a nice price bump. Plus next week vs the 49’ers has huge potential for a mini explosion.

Don't care what anyone says? You know he's the frontrunner for MVP right?
Still don't own any and won't. Definitely fun to watch but it's just a matter of time until he get hurt. Plus he isn't marketable like Mahomes, Rogers, etc.

You've heard him talk right? Watch how many interviews they show with him compared to everyone else. They'll show him dancing though. Just being honest. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Truth doesn’t hurt

Because it’s not true

I guarantee if you could buy some of his stuff at last off-season a price you wouldn’t be talking what you are now

You missed out it’ll be okay

I have none and want none and have no regrets. Seen it too often. I like watching him play, just think his future is very limited.

Just being realistic. Not too many scrambling QB's have a long career. All it takes is one play and it's much more likely to happen to a guy that loves to run. But you guys keep talking about making money so I assume you're selling anyways. If he was such a great investment I would think you would hold for a little while.

And regardless of what anyone thinks, I have zero regrets with Lamar. I honestly think he could be a good flip for someone but never a long term hold. Nothing wrong with that - Mahomes paid for my Corvette. But long term I don't think Lamar lasts. Just my opinion. If I'm wrong I'm not mad. He's fun to watch.

As long as he's able to run, he'll dominate. I like the guy and he's in our division.
