Default So my neighbor told me he has some cards...

... he finally "found" them. He called me today and I went over.

He has probably 100,000 cards, all vintage. Baseball, Football, Basketball.

I took pictures of a binder he put together.

Here's another handful I grabbed as I was leaving. He was going to a meeting, so I was only there for 30 minutes or so. The 68s are beautiful. Wouldn't be surprised is most of those are 8s or better.

Who was it that would always go "PANTS DOWN!"? I agree in this case

WOW! What an amazing find. I would love to see the PSA results on those... especially the 53 Mantle and the Cobb. If that's one binder, I can't imagine the rest of the collection!

looks like a bunch of the big names are fakes. You should post these pics over in the vintage section, pretty sure those guys are going to LOL themselves to death.

Are you sure all of those are real? Seems too good to be true. If they are, wow.

I need better neighbors. Glad he just "found them". lol.

There might be a reprint or two in there ,but several of those are legit.

I'd be interested in a price on that '55 Clemente. Probably out of my range, but that is definitely a card I'd love to own.

I'm no vintage expert, so they could be fake, but he says they are his from when he was a kid.

He had boxes and crates (full of shoe boxes, cigar boxes, etc) that I didn't even open as I didn't have time.

The zoomed out picture of the T206 Cobb looked fake, but the close up makes me not as sure. If the text color is brown, it could be good (need to see the back). If the text is black, it's a fake. The Leaf Jackie Robinson I would be worried about, as well as most of the pre-war. The 50s cards all at least look okay from images; would be odd for a true collector to intermix real and fakes in those sets.
White letter 1969 Mantle looks real, and has a big premium compared to the normal version. A lot of factory cut 1968s don't measure up, so don't be surprised if/when some of those either get MINSIZREQ or Evidence of Trimming.

The 48 Stan Musial screams reprint to me but I could be wrong. Would have to see it in person. Some of the rest are without a doubt original.

It's a nice find. I would carefully start getting PSA submissions together.

If these are real and get graded by PSA, this collection could be worth hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Wow.
