It doesn't work like that, they don't come sealed unless you hit a parallel, SP or auto and then it's just that one card in a pack -- your normal cards will come in a clearly visible case in a black cardboard envelop that is easily opened and closed. I mean, assuming they do it like the curry/james/durant packs:

Wow, thank you for the information. I was envisioning every card in a sealed pack but I guess that would be logistically impossible for Topps to pull off.

There is only one version.

As to buying from ebay - IF they do this card the way they did the LeBron/Steph/Durant triple, then there will be sealed packs that contain just a mystery parallel (or auto). That's what you'd want to buy.

HOWEVER, there is no guarantee that they'll ship them that way - and that USA Basketball triple was actually the ONLY Topps Now card that they've shipped like that. If they do this card the way they've done literally every other Topps Now card, then the parallels will come just packed into a little plastic box along with the base cards - and it isn't sealed (it's taped shut with reusable tape). So you can't buy off of ebay with a "chance" at a parallel.

As Z pointed out already, TN baseball stuff has never shipped like that basketball pack.

But none of my baseball orders ever come with tape, they just come within the black TN box that keeps the snap lid from accidentally popping off.

All the SPs or parallels I've ever received, including two gold 1/1s, were always packed in with the base.

What I don't know, and haven't experienced yet, is how the baseball auto redemptions are received. To me, it would make sense if it simply got packed into the base like any other parallel/SP.

Ultimately, when buying off eBay, you can assume you have zero chance at an auto/SP/parallel when buying base cards unless you're buying the specific auto/SP/parallel.

Yeah, tape only for 20-packs in my experience, to be clear.

I've seen reports that the basketball auto "redemption" cards (outside of the triple auto) have been arriving as a separate package via Fedex, out of the blue without any shipping or tracking email. Don't know about the recent baseball autos.

*Base Card Parallels will replace base card in order.

I can't believe how unbelievably cheap Topps is being with these auto-chance Topps Now cards. Charging $8.50 minimum per card and they're cutting out the base cards. The other non-auto cards haven't changed and parallels are in addition to base cards.

And, quite aside from the new lottery nonsense, they'll also start taking the "actually in play during the moment in question" relics and using them for this new "Dynasty Black" thing instead of Now. (To be fair, the Ohtani gloves/pants would almost certainly never have made it into Now, but plenty of other things that used to may not anymore.)

The Ohtani 50/50 it seems hard to break out how many total auto//auto/relics//relics there will be.

As well if this is not jumped on overall and sells out it is possible the boxes might be doubled/tripled up with short cards which could make them exceptionally attractive.

I think Topps just slowly raising the prices on the relics and them not holding their value has hurt how fast the non-top tier players sell. Ohtani and Judge relics will go quick but many others seem to sit for a bit.

Maybe it's just me, but even if I did want a Lindor relic, I wouldn't have paid $200 for it. $100 would've been a stretch and likely pass. I'm surprised it sold out this quick.

If people are willing to buy 1/5/10/20/40/100/1000/5000 base cards to have a chance at a 1/1 auto mixed within half a million cards...this is a fairly easy peasy decision for some people to buy a Lindor relic chasing a /1, /5 or /10.

Just got tracking for the Malik Nabors (I know it's football but that thread is dead) and got two tracking numbers for a one-card order so I'm hopeful I got at least a parallel. Have they done packs for any of the other "look for autos" Topps Now cards other than the Olympics one?
