It's not stupid if you want it at that price. Besides, "exciting young Padres rookie" is fairly rare...ha.

The Lou Gehrig set print run is pretty low. $50 for 30 Cards - even at $2 per card I thought this would be 5,000+ sets easy. Happy to have snagged my 5 sets. Parallels should fall 1:19 sets!

I would've liked to have seen more pics of other cards. Like are they all players just pasted over the same image of Gehrig? I don't know, the design didn't really speak to me I guess.

This is kind of the reason I didn't buy.

I like the concept of a B/W Gehrig in the background with the full-color modern player overlaid. But if it's the same image of Gehrig on all 30, that gets stale. Plus, the lack of mock-ups for other players didn't give me confidence that I'd like the player images.

I got lucky to get a /372 Josh Gibson but Topps completely bungled the execution. The .372 career batting average was placed behind him in the pic and you can barely see it.

Yes they still do auto relics.

Decent prices is highly debatable. I'd say maybe one or two might have been but the overwhelming majority are way overpriced in my opinion.

I'd guess that anything from tonight's game will be exorbitantly high.

Over the course of the season, they might surprise you once or twice.

Plus, for a game like tonight's, you'll need to be super quick - any auto relics will likely sell out within 3-5 minutes. Just relics probably within 10 minutes. Watching for the email is usually too late for an historic event like tonight.

Happens from time to time. Their site is not super sturdy. I'd give it a day or two and then maybe just shoot CS a note if they're not showing up again.
