Default PSA Mislabel (2017 Heritage Trout Flip Stock)

When I busted my case of Heritage, I found it odd that I hit three Trout SPs #450. Upon closer examination, I noticed that one of the cards had a differing texture and concluded that one was a flip stock variation #/5. Given that the flip stock variations are difficult to differentiate, (and don't seem to have a large secondary market) I figured I would send to PSA and have them label the card as the flip stock variation to remove any doubt when attempting to sell. On the submission, I specified that the card was a flip stock, but the card has returned without any mention of the variation on the label.

My question is if it is worth sending back to PSA requesting they update the label, or if I should just use the scan linked below when selling to show that it is a flip stock variation?

I wouldn't even hesitate to return it because they didn't do the job you paid them for. Besides, a flip stock PSA 10 with the correct label is a very high dollar card.

1) Ask for a partial refund
2) Crack the card out and send it to GMA grading

Problem solved!

Send it back as a mechanical error and they'll pay shipping both ways.

I'm not sure why you would expect PSA to know how to read, or to know what they are grading.

Definitely send it back. Same thing happened to me at BGS on a flip stock. I'd be interested in the card when you get it back, or before if you don't want to send it back. I'll do it. PM me if you're looking to sell. Thanks. Good luck.

Absolutely send it back. I just got back a corrected "mechanical error" from them. It takes about 15 business days to get back, but they did pay for shipping both ways (they emailed me a shipping label). Give their customer service a call and explain your situation. As long as you filled out your paperwork/online submission forms correctly and they didn't follow your request, they will fix it.

If it were me. I'd send it to GMA grading.. For sure!!!

For reals though, send it back. But before you do, break it out of the case. I'd be interested to know if it's still the same card. If it's not, I'd have a great day with the psa mob on this forum.

Do the flip stock cards have the different card code numbers on the back?

No they don't - the back variations (flip stock, grey back and bright yellow) all have the regular codes.
