Default The Official Stock Market Thread

Please NO political discussion. Thank you.

My ideas are gone now

I was thinking of adding CWH - camping world calls before the next earnings date, which should be around February 27th. they seem to be getting undeservedly negative stock price pressure while interest in camping is quite high or even more so.

It seems that ESG investing might be next theme that everyone will try to get into. will be interesting to see what happens to NOVS - appharvest.

I want to save funds and eventually add to NK in a brokerage account. I'm not sure if I would contribute stocks in an IRA. I'm adding VIGAX in my original account because of the YTD %.

NK as in the stock? CFO sold about $5-6M in shares recently. The CFO selling in a microcap biotech like that is a red flag. You want to find out if that was a planned sale. Check Edgar for that info. Its not my money so I don't care enough to or I would.

Yeah that's why I said I'm trying. I saw the headlines, it was a hit.

I have no idea how these rises have been possible considering the global lockdowns and disrupted economies but I’ve been loving my clean energy ETFs and I feel confident in holding them long term.

I like CWH too. It’s been on my watch list for a minute. I’m going to do a deeper dive this weekend and post back.

If I can grab the CWH March 19 $25 call for around $5 where it was trading Friday I may do that. Will have to see where it opens next week and go from there. Would obviously like it cheaper but there’s quite a bit of time on that one.

IV is pretty high with this one so I could sell weeklies against it to limit risk and create a little income while I wait.

I’m not sure that I would hold through earnings personally as that’s really not my thing. But if they can beat estimates for Q4 and turn a profit that would be great for the company.

Trading at roughly 8-9x 2021 projected earnings at $3.35
/share.

Marcus Lemonis has bought a bunch of stock over the summer as well, all in the upper $30s. I don’t think he would have done that if he wasn’t going to gain from it.

Personally I think this is a good trade/investment at current levels. You look for R/R and it’s there.

Thanks for posting this one OP.

Shift from growth to income will probably start soon. No more good news to price in. Earnings will again dictate the markets direction.

Didn’t mean to quote ya. Sorry.

In the exiled thread I think it was jmarch that shared a top 10 stocks to watch in the coming year with 1 that he suggested to watch closely.

Any chance that could get a repost? it was within the last week and I think it was jmarch that posted.

Not a problem.

The list wasn't really a top ten list. It's just me trying out a different investment idea, more like an idea centered around different criteria.

Added this on the dip this morning at $107.

~8x projected 2021 earnings at that price? Not too shabby. Especially since I’m sure news viewership for Q4 of this year was extremely high given everything going on. And I really don’t see the trend changing anytime in the near future

Nxst is all about entry point. $107 is fine. I'm not a dividend guy but it'll even pay you two points to own it.

CWH is one of my favorite swing stocks, always seems to channel from mid-20s to low-30s outside of impacts from news.

It was interesting watching BA stay relatively flat despite the 737 Max issues and government fine, though I assume most people were aware already and it was largely priced in.

Added ACEV to my watchlist. It’s a spac that announced a merger with Achronix Semiconductor last week.

do you think it really is headed towards something like $100 or a real crazy blowup, or is this a $60-70 range with small growth?

I've heard 80 as a general PT but this space is on fire, could surpass. They just hit $100Bil market cap @ $64

I've owned NIO for bit now and done quite a bit of research and I figure it to hit between $100-150 by EOY. They announced the other day that they partnered up with Nvidia to make their AI chips and will be expanding into Europe. In addition, they just released their first sedan with AI and 5G (they've been selling SUV's up to this point) and are already taking pre-orders for 2022 delivery.

I'm confident the stock should steadily climb for at least the next 3-5 years with sales growing year by year. Will it hit Tesla levels of share price (2500 pre-split)? Probably not, but if it hits anywhere in that $300-500 range I'll be more than content.

Well right now it's been stuck at between 60-64

I personally got caught into the hype for it. I bought in at 42 dollars a share, sold 75% this morning at 62

I thought there was some share issuance going on soon.

Always nice taking profits.

Still holding on to the 2K shares @ $10 will bleed some when it's around $100 or so.
