Hi Guys,
Im trying to search on the Chronology 2007 set and surprising there isn't a huge amount of content on the set (on the forum) versus some of the other sets. What does everyone think about the set and where does it rank compared to say Exquisite? I think Exquisite 2003 (and other years) is king and Ultimate is second but I'm trying to figure out where serious collectors rank Chronology. |

In 2007 it’s the top set IMO.

Some of the best designs around.
Tough to beat Stitches in time. Doesn't have enough to beat Exquisite as a product though. A lot of people on here these days don't even know the Upper Deck era and how dominant it was.

I love UD and was gutted when they didn't hold a licence.
Re exquisite - I just used that and Ultimate as a way of comparing - everyone can have their favourites but its interesting to see where is ranked and why. The big ones from the set are obviously the KD rookies, MJ autos and some of the other timeless subsets. |

That 2007 Chronology set was the peak of my collecting when I was a kid. Its the #1 set for me that year. I left the hobby once UD lost their license. They ruled basketball in the 2000s.

What would you rank as the top 5 cards from that the 2007 set?
Here is mine: 1. Jordan w/Bird 63 point game 2. Jordan Dunk (1 and 2 are the same for me) 3. Durant Rookie (I dont collect KD but his card hold significance and its a nasty looking card) 4. Magic/Bird Face Off 5. Kareem Skyhook/Lebron Dunk/ Dr J Dunk |

One of the best sets/lines of all time. Love/hate that they only did it for 2 years.
The canvas autos might be the best looking auto set overall. So many classic moments. The Magic/Bird dual with the trophy is probably my favorite dual auto ever. Wish I bought more of the Bulls moments (Paxson/Kerr shots and obviously the MJs)

Chronology is my favourite product of all-time. The card designs are classy and timeless. Meanwhile, the checklists are much more interesting than Exquisite.

Chronology 2007/08 one of the best sets ever and def. the best set in 00's.
Of course, exquisite was more expensive, but if you look at the canvas cards, they are unique. They look awesome and were copied by panini twice. More or less good in general but not in comparison to Chrono. Chronology had a very good player selection and in comparison to todays cards and sets, the numbering are low with /99 and /10. Stiches in Time are great, the base set is brilliant. All cards (as far as I know) are on card auto. Perfect. There were 7 years of exquisite with unique cards. 03/04 was the first year, so it is special for many collectors. That is fine. But there were only 2 years of Chronology. 06/07 was average. But 07/08 was loaded in many ways. Price, design, players and set selections, and what Arianny_Fan said: TIMELESS MEMORIES Legendary. |
