Rather have the real thing, especially if this goes for some stupid price, why wouldn't you?

My thoughts on this are the same as my thoughts on all NFTs: no, thank you.

Collect and invest in what you want. If you think you can make some good money investing in NFTs, go for it.

But please don't confuse NFT trading cards with actual trading cards. It would be like confusing a video game version of Juan Soto with the actual Juan Soto -- one is digital and the other is in the physical world.

I don't see the attraction to the NFT craze but I'm in my 50's so I'm old school. If I can't hold it in my hand then, to me, it's not really mine.

You know you can actually go to the bank and take out your money right? That all currencies are a somewhat arbitrary store of value can be debated, but there is still a huge difference between traditional currency and crypto,

It's going to go for a lot. NFTs have been taking off (although this week has been down).

With many things (NFTs and cards included), there are going to be

-ppl who get it
-ppl who don't
-ppl in it to collect as "true collectors"
-ppl in it to make a quick buck
-ppl who don't care (I'd say a majority of ppl fall into this category with many alternative investment)

But all it'll take for this 1/1 to go for big money are 2 whales who really want it.

This seems like a significant departure from Topps usual business model of the big chase through packs. I hope they don't auction off superfractors to the top bidder in the future. Like many other NFTs, seems like shameless moneygrab, but can't say I blame them. The cost for Topps to create the NFT is basically nothing so it's almost pure profit. My SWAG is it'll go for $200K.

Here's how I see it

buying specific NFTs ~= ripping packs/boxes
buying BTC/ETH ~= holding sealed packs/boxes

Is this the third different platform that they are selling NFT's on?

I should say I'm surprised by this but what an easy way to make a ton of money. It would of been a lot cooler if they released digital 1952 packs with the chance to pull instead.

I love crypto, bitcoin etc... but NFTs are like 3 dollar bills.
Who gives a crap, they are just images attached to the blockchain, nothing more. Just a way to con you out of your money.
