Don't give em too much credit. He stole it from me out of the 2023 NFC North thread.
Caleb or Fields? Cousins or someone else? Goff getting extended? Too much has to happen before anything of substance can be said. 2024 division thread, prior to the 2023 Super Bowl? Yawn. Wake me up after the draft. But do you guys remember when the Lions choked in the playoffs, and gave up the largest lead in NFC Championship game history?

2024 NFC North
Detroit Lions 11-6 Green Bay Packers 8-9 Chicago Bears 8-9 Minnesota Vikings 6-11 I'm assuming no Kirk Cousins for the Vikings. |

I happened to nail the rankings last year and was only off by 3 games total for team records. I may need to revise my prediction depending what the Vikings do at QB. |

No matter who wins we can be assured that either the team will have high expectations going into the playoffs and blow it, or be leading big in a playoff game and will blow it. The Packers and Vikings have been experts in this over the last 25 years. And now this past season we finally welcomed the Lions to our group!

Wow! I love the moxie!
Lions now have 3, count them, three playoff wins since 1957. And none of them resulted in anything. Lions wish they had a 1985 to refer to! Or at least a 2006, like when the Bears actually won their NFC Championship game. |

Typical salt. Sensible Bears fans would give their left n*ts to be where Lions fans are now. The past is all that matters when the present is grim and the future uncertain.

Its easy to blast another teams past as being irrelevant. When your team doesn't have a relevant past to speak of. 85 Bears Super Bowl Champs 06 Bears NFC Champs 23 Lions... |

Bears release C/LG Cody Whitehair (2016 2nd round pick, 1x Pro Bowl) and FS Eddie Jackson (2017 4th round pick, 1x 1st Team All-Pro, 2x Pro Bowl).
I wish them the best. I'd bet Jackson winds up in Philly, rejoining Fangio. Whitehair will have value as a veteran interior OL depth with starting upside. |

Remember that 0-16 Bears/Vikes/Packers team?
