Stras had massive hype - the hobby was going nuts. I think Skenes can/will be very good but no way are these comparable.

Yeah, that was on a whole other level as this is. Except for Ohtani who is the exception to everything, this is probably the most-hyped pitcher debut since Strasburg though. I do wonder if his pitch count/inning limit (I assume he has a fairly low one based on how they've used them so far) will keep the hype down.

In 2022 Rylan Bannon was the last call up to get the RC logo. He made his debut on May 12.

In 2023 it was Grant Anderson who debuted on May 30.

We should be in the clear on Skenes for 2024 products.

We’ll know the day after his start. My guess is that he just sneaks in Indiana Jones style.

The Strasburg game was one of the best sporting events I've ever attended..playoff atmosphere, people cheering every pitch. It was electric.

Skenes doesn’t have 1/10th the hype as 2010 Strasburg. After that first start things were insane.

Aint that the truth. A lot of people were not in the hobby then, and those who were seem to have forgotten. The Strasburg train was like nothing we had seen before.
