Didn’t he have 8 sacks last year? In 15 games?

He was really good

5.5 sacks in 2 extra games… at his age… is a really great year

We define breakout differently

He's a Pro-Bowler now, he's broken out.

Agreed. He’s also my top pick.

Next I’d say Gibbs, as stated above. He had a great rookie year but he took another step this year, especially after the Montgomery injury.

Jonnu Smith is probably my third.

Very limited size of work, but Tanner Mckee from obscure 3rd string QB to a guy putting his ability on film for teams to come calling. 4 TDs on 45 passes. (Hurts has 18 on 361 passes)do the math on that- he's way better passing than Hurts (again small sample size)

My runners up are Bowers, Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. They had a combined 300+ catches, 3500 yards, and 22 TDs between them with some of the worst QB situations imaginable- that's how you know these 3 are studs

This is literally the stupidest definition of “breakout” in history

Side note… the OP just picked the wrong Denver player… I’ve known him his entire life. Nicest person on the planet

Jonathan Cooper

He’s how you breakout being a 6th round pick

And was barely recruited at Ohio State to be fair. Just a local kid

10.5 sacks this year. Just signed a 4 year deal for 60 million

After being the 239th pick

He is the definition of self made. Most didn’t even think he’d see the field at Ohio State after coming out of High School

Also the nicest kid on the planet

Baker Mayfield.

I know this will trigger FCG so I'm just going to sit back and watch

I gave him credit, he's had a great season. That being said, still a turnover machine and not taking you to the promise land, but he is what he is by this point
