Saw that some of you were big horror movie people. I, too, love a good horror movie. Not really a fan of the Paranormal Activity series or any other ones that use the first person camera throughout the whole movie. I think it's been played out and is more annoying than anything. Also really don't care for the straight gore (i.e. Hostel).....there's a difference between scaring me and just grossing me out. I want to be scared.
With that being said, I was wondering what horror movies were your favorites or maybe other horror movie buffs have yet to see and you could share.... My all time favorite would be House of 1000 Corpses by Rob Zombie. A few others: - It Follows (not a lot of publicity on this one, but if you go into it thinking "80's throwback" you'll absolutely love it, the music to build tension, the teenage sex which always appeared in the 80's horror films, very underrated but great movie) - Michael Myers first, then Jason, then Freddy in that order.....I'm ready for a reboot of any of those franchises though - Scream (always a classic) - Saw (the original...although they did have a few others that were pretty good) - Insidious (the first one was one of the better horror movies I've seen in a long time) I know there's more, but wanted to see what others you guys thought were worth the watch.... |

I don't think there is a horror movie that I've watched and didn't at least enjoy for that one time only...
Cabin Fever Anything...and I mean anything...zombie related. Grew up on Mike Myers, Freddy and Jason. The Omen Thing Exorcist Alien ... all of them The Ring The Grudge Descent It ... most Stephen King related shows/movies. ....I could go on all day. Literally. I honestly don't think I've seen Insidious...idk, have to check. |

I couldn't of been the only person who didn't like The Babadook? The movie had such great ratings.

I just watched it on Netflix it was good up until you saw the Babadook... had they made his face look like the drawings in the book it could have been better. Ended up being a steamy pile of rubbish

Trick R Treat
Killer Klowns from Outerspace The Conjuring Those aren't just 3 of my favorite horror movies, those are 3 of my favorite movies especially Trick R Treat. Killer Klowns is a pretty decent movie but a total guilty pleasure (how are they're not more scary clown movies that have their headquarters in a circus and amusement park?!?!) and the Conjuring surprisingly REALLY scared me when I saw it in the theater. |

I can't agree with It Follows - I thought it was overhyped and boring. Moody? Yes. And a cool score, but the film was just dull. If you want a slow, stalking horror - just go watch the original Halloween.

More recently, The Conjuring and Sinister are two of the scariest movies i've ever seen.

The Gingerdead Man and Thankskilling! In all seriousness, I have watched both of these and they have caused me to die of laughter!
With actual horror movies, I can truly say I have never really been scared. I don't know what it is, but I never jump or get scared during horror films and it kind of bothers me. As for some of my favorites, I loved Saw and I am a big Freddy Krueger fan so I love the original Nightmare on Elm Street, I also love the original and remake of Halloween. I enjoyed 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. I haven't seen anyone mention the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I liked that a lot as well. The Crazies was a pretty solid flick that I liked. The entire Aliens series is one of my favorites. Like EB31 said, I could go on and on about what horror movies I loved!

Well that was disappointing. Wasted $3.99 on Xfinity On Demand. Was impressed at all. - not creepy enough - not enough gore - villian/evil had a week role - 0 scare factor I'm a 41 year old veteran that's covered in ink and worked in the prison system. I need something I've never seen before lol |

I kinda liked the premise, and parts of it, but I feel like halfway through it just started going all over the place. Not terrible, but definitely not the best.

Yups exactly. From a certain point, it becomes a wait and see if anything new or interesting happens and it really doesn't.
